that is like visiting a part of jurassic park... we love it!!! we have nearly the same climate and apart from moss on the roof what caused a lot of trouble we like it a lot...
thanks for the visit, i have never been out of our country and if I could go anywhere in the world it would be Scotland.to the area where Urquhart Castle ruins is. I am descended from the Urquhart family on my mothers side of the family... besides I could visit you and Gail ad pop over to see Yam. that first photo of you by the creek, reminds me of my childhood home in Kentucky... our house was on a creek exacty like that one.. thanks for the tour
Bertie I'm adapting this to fit you. A Bouncy Bertie gathers no moss or lichen!! What very nice photos though Happy Friday and I guess you are back from your quick trip to your Cottage. Hugs Cecilia
I love your landscape so very much. The deep reds and deep greens, and all of those incredible mosses and lichens. The scenes are even more beautiful because you are in them, Bertie!
I love the work of a photographer named Simon Baxter who photographs scenes like yours. You might like his work.
Oh Bertie, I likes all the green! Butts I guess the damp could gets old after a while, huh? Wells, look at all the beauty it brings! SO worth the soggy furs and wet feets! Plus, I bets the smells are DIVINE! Kisses, Ruby ♥
First there was Hamish the Westie. Then there was Bouncing Bertie. Now we have new WFT puppy Nobby. Will he be Nice Nobby or Naughty Nobby? Watch this space!

ReplyDeleteDampness does help the moss grow. Love the bridge covered in moss, it looks really neat. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteLove all of the pretty colors! Your moss and lichen everywhere is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a lot of moss and lichen. That bridge looks like it needs a hair cut. BOL!

That second last photo looks like an elf village. Gorgeous. Love all the moss and lichens. Though it does look slippery.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! What beautiful moss and lichen covered....everything!!
ReplyDeleteHi friend! Ojo here! That looks like a fantastic place to sniff! Damp forests hold the best smells, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteWe know a lot of people don't like moss, but it sure looks pretty there. We bet you found lots of good places to explore and sniff out.
