Crying into my EU flag neckerchief...

In anticipation of my October trip to Germany I have been proudly wearing my EU flag neckerchief these last few weeks.

What a good job it was handy, so Gail could wipe the tears from my eyes (and then her own) when we heard the news from Westminster today...

  1. We're sorry for your tears Bertie. It seems your government now has a leader in place that disregards proper procedures much like our president.

  2. Hari om
Anarchy, Bertie lad, anarchy disguised as governance... sigh. Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  3. BOJO is a big talker. So devious in our opinion. Well if things go arse-up, it's on his head. Just enjoy the up-coming visit to Germany. (PS They love dogs.)

  4. Sad state of affairs all over it seems

  5. We don't know why we continue to let humans be in charge of things here on Earth...Canines would do a much better job!
    Rosy, Jakey & Arty

  6. Whatever is going on with our leaders? And what possessed Her Majesty to agree????? We commiserate with you.

  7. we hope for a fair solution for the UK and whatever happens, the good people of france hope with you and they will be good neighbors anyway.

  8. This is terrible Bertie, and who knows where it will all end? Not well, we think. We wonder how long before that horrid man Trump will offer to buy the UK, and make it just another US state ! Then he'll turn all the lovely countryside into those dreadful golf courses - just like he did in Scotland.

  9. Oh Bertie I'm so sorry. Dang I know you were so very excited and had all your documentation. What a mess to be ready for an adventure only to have it wrapped up in red tape.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. Don't worry dear Cecilia, I am still going to Germany, and my pet passport is at least valid until October 31. We're just upset 'cos this whole Brexit business is such a mess...
      Toodle pip!

  10. Our Mom has been reading all about this dustup too and is always shaking her head when she reads the news,it's especially bad here in the's madness. On a side note, our mom is going to Germany too in October but we have to stay behind...maybe she will run into you!
