Advice in Verse
Why fret about the wet?
Don't be cowed by too much cloud.
There is much to gain from lots of rain,
Why fret about the wet?
Don't grizzle when there's drizzle,
And if it's dreich, stand tall, look chic!
When skies are grey, go out to play,
Don't grizzle when there's drizzle.
A blizzard can be wizard!
And ice is rather nice.
In heavy snows, just wear warm clothes,
A blizzard can be wizard!
There is no doubt, we won't have drought.
Evapo-transpiration's low in this location.
Enjoy walkies through mud when everywhere's humid.
There is no doubt, we won't have drought.

ReplyDeleteWhy fret the wet? Bertie you can give me a pep talk any day...during our wet season. Right now though I need one about beatin' the heat? KINDA like this:
"The heat makes me feel beat
it makes me sweat from dawn til dusk
sometimes I smell like a musk (ox).

I don't know Bertie for when it rains so much and the soil becomes so soggy that trees uproot I begin to worry about the weather. A giant tree uprooted and missed my yard by one yard if it had come to the left my yard would have been under that tree.

Great advice. Although, we must admit we don't like our backs getting wet. But mud, frost or wet grass is great!
ReplyDeleteThat was an excellent poem Bertie. Our weather can be pretty dismal around here too but we do get a proper summer.
ReplyDeleteGreat pep talk, Bertie. Now can you do one about the three H's here?

Don't be beat by the heat,
DeleteNor fazed by the haze,
When it's humid don't do zoomies,
Don't be beat by the heat!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS So tough to find words to rhyme with humid/humidity!

Gail I 100% agree with your comment at YAM-Aunty today. I am a stickler for being on time and am usually 10 or more minutes early. I once told some one if I'm late and you have not heard from me call the police or EMS!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
That's a very good poem, Bertie - you are clever!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Inca xx
We love your attitude
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful poem! Ane we like the summer verse you added, because that is what we deal with here! We think the best part of being a dog is that we force our humans outside 365 days a year, no matter the weather! Which is just great!
