Bertie shows the golfers how...

PS Gail notes that REAL sportsmen (i.e. Tour de France cyclists) don't run for cover either when there's a drop or two of rain….
Rodriguez wins a stage in the Pyrenees yesterday.

hehehehe, Bertie lad, I got a phone call from the father this morning as he had just heard the golf was delayed... it so affected him he had to tell me about it!!! No such trouble with the cricket, thank goodness.

Am going to be using Storm Brelly later today too; not just rain, but strong winds require the sturdier version of its species. Gail's looks very pretty. AS do you all curled up warm. Well, perhaps not pretty. Handsome...

  3. I agree with you, why we have that giant umbrellas? I'm afraid the bad weather jumps over the channel, we wait for the thunder storm and the rain today... but know what? I'm glad that the ole scottish rule: no wimmen, do dogs on the green" is history now :o)

  5. Oh Bertie you are so funny!! I tell you those golfers need to just wear wet suits...and carry on like the professionals they are supposed to be. Dang cycling is way more dangerous in rain!
You know I love your red rain coat!! You are a real trooper splashing in the puddles!

  6. We have had so much rain this summer that's it's looked and felt a bit like your pictures. Today, however, the heat and humidity has returned and it's HOT

  7. Bertie, please use your scientific know-how and try to figure out how to send some of your rain to SoCal. Thanks!

  9. OMD, Bertie, I think we have the same coat! We're such stylish dudes. I agree the golfers are wimps, although if there was any danger of lightning, I don't blame them for not wanting to run about waving metal sticks.

Bunch of softies Bertie. Although i is not a big rain fan myself. No good trying an umbrella on this side of the coast though, it quickly turns inside out and blows away.
Last year TND, um, Dad, went to watch the golf, or maybe the year before. Mum tries not to pay too much attention unless it's tennis.

  16. Years ago a family friend had to write a human interest story for a politician. She wrote it quickly at night and then in the morning discovered she'd written that They played until the water covered their balls.

    Actually, can't golfers wear wellies?

You look very stylish in your raincoat, Bertie. I haven't got one of those. I wonder if Mum can make me one??
