The drinks pavilion is my favourite. I like to watch England when they are playing well, so I am watching this test (so far) but if it goes tits up, so will I... Bertie looking quite the team mascot on the pitch.
We're AVID fans here Bertie!! I like silly point myself and I'm sorry but your team is going to need more than your help, mate, to beat the Aussie's. We're on fire!!!!!!!! How funny's Angus???? However I'm quite sure you could bowl a maiden over, aye??
I do a very good job of patrolling the boundary then darting in to chase the ball when the peeps least expect it....needless to say I'm not very popular wiv the local cricket teams! Loves and licky kisses Princess Leah xxx
Is that the famous ashes compawtition? I don't know much about Cricket, I only know Cricket the dog... but I would like to watch a game once...bet that's interesting ... even when I have to read about the rules furst :o) easy rider
Hari Om Bertie Lad, you are talking to a cricket tragic here.. I have bowled a few out with stumpings and LBW on more than one occasion (one of the reasons my shoulder is in poor condition). ... then again, am quite hot at Silly Mid Off...&*p
What else is a gal to do when outside the window is the wettest pea-souper ever? (I refuse to take paid telly, so have to make do with radio commentary - which is fine - but in OZ it is still free-to-air...)....sigh...
Howdy Bertie. We've always favoured Silly Mid On. Our angel Poppa played cricket till he was 51. He was a fast bowler and some of his records still stand in his old club. Mum spent many a childhood Saturday at her dad's cricket matches. He loved that game something fierce. No worries and love Stella and Rory
Comeon Aussie's comeon comeon :) :) no doubt who Mom will be for cheering for. Mom's favorite thing back home was watching the seagulls go flying at the Adelaide cricket ground every time the ball headed their way (a couple even died after being hit by a ball)
MOL MOL I like playing with crickets but don't have a clue how to play Cricket. My favorite position will be the bandstands...and I'll be cheering with FnE. Hugs madi your bfff
Since we are Scotties, we like Short Leg or Square Short Leg. We have often heard the term 'short legged beer barrels' but we didn't see that on the chart. Bonnie and Kenzie
I know you have your own cricket gear so wear your finest cricketing attire (from a previous post) in the UK sunshine and show those Australians you supporting England. BOL!!!!
With lots of woofs (and amused smiles from the one who types this), Riley from New Zealand (who in this case is supporting the English as it is an age old Auzzie vs NZ tradition to support anyone who has a chance of beating Australia after the 1981 underarm incident).
Hi Riley, good to hear from you. I guess folk from NZ support whoever's playing Australia in the same way that Scots cheer for England's opponents (at least in football and rugby - cricket does not tend to elicit such strong emotions north of the Border).
First there was Hamish the Westie. Then there was Bouncing Bertie. Now we have new WFT puppy Nobby. Will he be Nice Nobby or Naughty Nobby? Watch this space!
My favorite posishun is wherever I can bark da cricket players good. And yup, we has cricket players here in my nayborhood. I barks em good.
