A question of train etiquette


When one is towards the end of a long train journey and tired…

…. and one's slumber is disturbed because the passenger sat opposite has his "music" on so loud the beat is clearly audible through his headphones …

…. and then said passenger removes his deck shoes to expose his hot and smelly feet…

….one is entitled to lick those feet, don't you think…?


(Between you and me, I suspect even Gail agrees. She might have said "NO Bertie don't do that" but something about her tone of voice told me she didn't really mean it.)

PS We were returning from a few days in Nottingham, checking up on Human Granny. Delighted to report that she is doing GRRREAT!

    First, so glad Human Granny is doing well. Second, keep your shoes on if you don't want me licking your feet. Seriously, you think the train floor mig be cleaner than my licks? I think not. I consider it doing your stinky feet a favor, buddy.

    Feets always need to be licked. Kinda like legs. I luv when it are shorts season - more legs tolick.

    One of life's little pleasure is having a dog lick your feet, not that I've been lucky enough to receive such attention for a while. The weather this summer hasn't exactly been suitable for bare feet! Great to hear that HG is doing well!

    I have never licked feet. Arran is quite partial to it though. But I agree, I don't see a problem with it. Much like I'm sure it is fine to beg for fellow diners food in restaurants.
