I expect you've heard that here in the UK we have a dire shortage of lorry drivers.
So I'm thinking of applying for my HGV licence. I mean, how hard can it be?

your thoughts were my first thoughts, it seems this is world wide problem. Here we have a shortage of truck drivers who need a
ReplyDeleteCDL license so Bertie as for one of each when you take you test and come on over, seems our veggies are stuck in the port in California and no way to truck them 3000 miles to our table.
BOL, considering how some truck drivers drive here, a terrier might be an improvement.

ReplyDeleteI think you would be a magnificent driver, Bertie lad - you would stop traffic!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Go for it, Bertie!
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant idea Bertie, and I'm sure you'll pass the test first time!
ReplyDeleteMy human says if she was a lot younger (a very lot younger, I may add) she'd like an HGV
licence! Personally I'd run for cover if I saw her coming! But they say desperate times breed desperate measures!
Love,
Inca xx
We think you'd make an excellent driver, Bertie. Maybe you could sample some of the goods in the truck if you were moving food!
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie with a driver as handsome as you are no one will notice you lack of experience. I predict all the girls will be lining up to ride with you.

We bet you would be a wonderful driver, Bertie. We would trust you way more than some of the crazies on the roads these days.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the worker shortage isn't only happening here in the U.S.

We think you wiuld make a wonderful truck driver, Bertie!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy(who really wants to learn how to drive too!)
We are sure you would be a serious driver and not get distracted!
ReplyDeleteWe are having the same problem here. I think that you'd be a super driver, Bertie!
ReplyDeleteBertie is the king of the road.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, Bertie! A P.S. to Gail to say how much I like the Duthie Park chalk map of the world pictured in a recent post. Wonderfully clever.
