My Nature Walkie this week took me from Balmedie Country Park, through the sand dunes and on to the Trump International Golf Course Doggy Park.
To say I had a spring in my step would be an understatement.
Totally deserted, it's a great place for social distancing.
And although the chemical-drenched greens and fairways are far from nature-friendly, we will admit (in the spirit of reconciliation) that they provide a welcome dose of greenery in grey January.
Golfers? What golfers? This is a doggy park, right?
Happy Nature Friday friends! Thanks again to Rosy and the Gang for hosting the blog hop.
we like the idea of a doggy park a lot!!! that's better than a golf thingy!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Bertie! Did you take your bucket and spade and have fun in the sand bunker?
ReplyDeleteI hope you "christened" the greens liberally. If I'd been with you I would have helped - and being a lady and spayed, I understand my "christening" would have had a devastating effect on that artificial colour!
Still it was a nice walk for you, you lucky boy. Will there be lots more Trump Doggy Parks in future, do you think?
Love,
Inca xx
What a great place for a run and look at you go, Bertie! I like the idea of a doggy park so much more than a golf course!
ReplyDeleteI hope ya left da soon to be former President a nice present - he's been having a tuff time of it lately, what wif da losing, da failed insurrection, and da twitter ban.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you lived close to a Trump course, it is perfect for you and I hope you left a lot of STUFF all over the place... it is perfect for a dog park, maybe they will do that permanently. you look wonderful and full of vim, vigor and vitality
ReplyDeleteBertie has a proud record of objecting to Donald Trump and his golf course, going back to well before he became president. E.g. see: https://bouncingbertie.blogspot.com/2010/07/we-hate-donald-trump.html
DeleteYou don't have steps to put a spring in because you were flying over the golf course. Dogs aren't supposed to be on a golf course, so flying over was a perfect choice! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job using that golf course as we're sure it should really be used. Like a few others we hope you left some deposits that maybe the large orange man could step in. BOL!
ReplyDeleteOMDs Bertie you are channeling your inner Springer Spaniel today. I had a big grin on my face as I scrolled through your photos. I think you should have a socially distancing WFT gathering. Hugs to you and Gail
ReplyDeleteCecilia
If I may be indelicate, Bertie, I hope you left an appropriate deposit, or two.
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteOh yeaaaahhhhhhh, Bertie lad, well done on making the most of the park. Most pleasant, even in the gloom!!! BTW, I think you might find Gail less inclined to offer you European trips in the future, based on the costs suggested <in this article!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
A doggy park...at least it's good for something...LOL! Just watch out for the holes. Our golf course has kangaroos on it. They have right of way.
ReplyDeleteWahoo!!! We think it makes a much better dog park than a golf course!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place for zoomies!
ReplyDeleteI hope you took a crap on it for me.
ReplyDeleteHope you lifted your leg on the sign 😜
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie, we are all counting on you to make as many 'holes in one' as possible my furiend! 😉🤣
ReplyDeleteI thinks you should visit often and do your business as much as you can! BOL!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I love Ruby's comment ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you make any holes in one? I love the greenery too!
We hope that you decided to relieve yourself somewhere special and not bother to pick it up! hahaha!
ReplyDeleteYou'd better be careful Bertie that 'The Donald' doesn't catch you in his bunkers :)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason my comments aren’t working. I hope this one works 🙏🏻 I wish I could join you in leaving presents at this golf course!
ReplyDeleteYay! It finally worked ♥️
