Edinburgh or Kiltarlity?

Gosh I've been having a fun time this weekend with Neil and Yvonne in their woodland retreat at Kiltarlity (near Inverness), while Gail has been with her book club pals enjoying the cerebral delights of the Edinburgh Book Festival.

I did receive a late evening message from Gail, but couldn't make much sense of it. (You know how these book group ladies are after a few glasses of wine....)

It seems they'd seen talks by, variously, yanisvaroufakisgregwisetomdevineshamichakrabatidonaldmurrayedithhallrorybremner or some such person or people.

Apparently it was not a dry weekend in "Auld Reekie" in any sense of the word.

BOL... oh dear Bertie lad, it seems that Gail may have let her hair down...(okay, perhaps that ought to be pushed her hair up?) You catch my drift. Meanwhile, I am very glad you are having a wonderful time yourself. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Bertie it looks like you didn't suffer at all on your "vacation" with Neil and Yvonne. It sounds like your mom's brain might have gotten a bit scrambled at her book festival.

  7. Sometimes our Mom's text look a lot like that - she just doesn't seem to get the right pressure there for that space bar. You are looking quite spiffy on your little away-from-home trip, Bertie.

  11. Hi Bertie,

Guessing your wee head is feeling better than Gail's head is feeling today. Here in NZ, our Auckland public library has a book group called "Reading between the wines" who meet up at restaurants and pubs, but if my human ever joined the group I know she would get the ratio of wine to books wrong! BOL

    Love and woofs,
    Riley

  12. Dear Bertie,

We are glad you are having fun at your retreat! I am sure your Gail is completely lost without you, hence the incomprehensible messages. You didn't get your belly wet when wading, did you??
