I examined the footpaths for any irregular odours.
I politely greeted the other visitors, whatever their shape or size.
Oh but Gail really does need keeping an eye on.
If you think my paws were muddy by the end of the visit...
You should have seen hers....
PS Some health and safety advice from Gail: when stepping backwards to achieve the perfect camera angle for a photo of your (muddy) dog, always remember there's a reason he might be muddy...
OOPSIE!!! Looks like you both were in need of a bath!
ReplyDeleteBertie, You do such and outstanding job of inspecting and caring for the woods. What would they do without you? How fun that you got Gail to step in the mud(giggles). I am thinking you may have had a good laugh over that one my pal.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Oh I can anticipate the sound of warm runnin' water at your place when you got home. BOL!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie
You really are taking the new job seriously aren't you mate? I was wondering once you get your paws under the table, if you could branch out and become chief inspector of (cooked) chickens at a nice little organic farm....? You will need help of course.... Deccy x
ReplyDeleteOh, how funny Gail...We want to see a photo of the whole 'you', lol!
ReplyDeleteBTW, no outing is worthwhile unless you have the evidence to show it's effect on you.
Sending lotsaluv and 'congrats' to Bertie - great work!
Who needs a Forestry Commission when there's a Bertie about ?
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie, We think you might be needing that bath!!
ReplyDeleteBTW - are we ever going to have any more field trips or did the last one wear you out??
XOXO

BOL! Where's a cold mountain stream when you need it. Looks like both of you were in need of a dip.

ReplyDeleteNot only your feets and your tail, Bertie, you have muds on your mouth! Were you sampling it for taste? Yuk is what I say!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are taking your job so seriously!
Cheers,

hey Bertie,
ReplyDeleteAll your hard work makes me tired! You are nonstop! I especially like how you helped keep the place tidy and how you greeted the visitors. Very nice! Another great guide you have posted and another job well done!
BOL about your Gail's muddy feet! Good job, Bertie! ;-> I will never understand how adult humans just don't get the enjoyment that mud brings. Little humans get it, we get it, but grown-up humans don't. Their loss!
Suka
BaHaHaHa! You are one muddy muddy duo :) Too funny :D
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,
Roo
BOL - looks like she needed a bath even more than you!
ReplyDeleteYikes, lots of mud.
ReplyDeleteBut sure does seem like fun. AT least Gail did not fall. Once while taking a photo of Bob I slipped on a muddy hill and tumbled down just like Jill in the nursery rhyme
urban hounds
Bertie, that was a total crack up. We loved the guided tour and your muddy body but your mum's shoes totally topped it off. We've started our day with a smile. Thanks mate. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteBertie, you need some boots. Where did you ever find that place? We never knew where firewood grew
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Bewtie,
ReplyDeleteYou awe soopew, I wish I could have you as my guide hewe, as Gail said, thewe awe some wondewful woods all ovew the Buda hills, i haven't dawed to take any of those hooge walks yet..could use a guide, plus we nevew seem to have the whole day fow such an outing..not having a caw means, we need lots of time to get to those places. WOW you are muddy. Sounds like things are changing with Gail going back to full time work. You can really get into mischief being on your own. We know you guys like to do physical things, you should be in our city Sunday. We have the Flying Pig Marathon 26.2 miles.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
Oh Bertie! I know these images must make your Uncle Eric very proud! As you know, he and I have a very successful business in beautifying mud packs for dogs. ( Still haven't cracked that elusive feline market.) You're showing such great promise as a spokesmodel, we'd like to offer you a position heading up our northern Britain operations.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Your pal,
Petey
Very nice work, Bertie! You are a true professional! And might I say, I am in awe of your muddy paws!
ReplyDeleteNow, if I could just get you over here to take care of my squirrel problem.
Your pal, Pip
