  1. Now Bertie, that is a real dog underneath all the foo foo. I bet in between doggie shows those furs get nice and muddy just like yours.

  2. We think Mango is wrong - you know that dog never gets muddy!! And after it gets all of it's championships, it gets shaved or shortly clipped!! Does it have eyes? or does it just sniff its way around?

  3. Hopefully he has some muddy days too. Oh and steak and kidney pie, yum! As an American anglo phile mom, or mum, loves that stuff. Maybe someday you could share the recipe.

  6. Be the best utility dog you can be...we admit to certain prejudices when it comes to best selections at the various dog shows. Also we were wondering what happens to those furs after the show.

  8. Hey Bertie!
Wow, I can't imagine the "utility" part...poor thing can't even see. I bet it would LOVE to get good and muddy for once. BOL to Rottrover's comment!!

  9. Not only does this dog not get muddy, I would suspect he gets very little outdoor time for anything!

If he were to get a nice hair cut, (short) he could be as cute as our Mr. Pip and have almost as much fun.

    Cheers,
Stella who was delighted to read that Words Fail You, but not nearly often enough!

  11. I don't know, that dog could be useful for cleaning under the bed!

  12. Haha, but we think it is prettier than the dog that won at Westminster. But what do we know...we are terriers!

  13. We infer 'utility' is used in the sense of 'all round' or 'fits no other category' - like a utility player in baseball. Gotta feel for the poor dog; s/he doesn't make her/himself look like that. We can only hope s/he gets a short cut and the chance to lead a normal doggie life most of the time.

  14. OK, probably a girl with a name like Zentarr Elizabeth. Although there was a story on our news tonight about an abused male puppy rescued from Afghanistan by some soldiers and adopted by a family in Virginia. He has the improbable name of Polly Bravo.

  17. You know what, Mums had exactly that conversation on Sunday! That was after they'd finished spluttering about the greyhound not winning the hound class! Like your new spring header too mate! Deccy x

  18. Horatio wasn't impressed. We gave up watching as soon as the WFT wereb't short listed for best in show. This poor wee dog didn't have a clue what was going on. A terrier would have worked the room!
