Chicken liver brownies and more...

Well, contrary to the fears I expressed in the previous post, it turns out that being two years old is not so bad.

Here are some highlights from my birthday weekend (which I spent over at the Torridon cottage).

Gail baked me my very own utterly delicious 'Chicken Liver Brownie Birthday Cake'.
See me blowing out the candles there.

My dear friend Marie-Thérèse not only made a beautiful card,

But also gave me a super present, which I unwrapped, quite delicately, all by myself.

That important business completed, I went exploring outside in the freshly fallen snow.

Gail and I shared a joke*.

Then before we left I caught up on the local gossip with my Irish Terrier neighbour Dooley. These Irish lads do enjoy a good craic.

On the way back to Aberdeen, I galloped around by the sea in sunny Nairn, and made some brand new friends.

And there was also time for a spot of posing, as is expected of the good looking young male when he visits the beach.

Yes, all in all, I'm quite happy being two.

Oh and by the way, 'That List' proved most useful when we ran short of fuel for the wood burning stove...

*Thanks to Michael of Baclenbea for the photo. No that is NOT Michael of 'more irritating than the midges' notoriety.....

  3. Glad that list was useful.

You certainly did open that package delicately. Most of us would have ripped that paper off into millions of pieces.

Great walk.....looks like it was a fantastic celebration. That cake alone would have been enough for us.

  7. Excellent use of that list Bertie - I thought it might be good for that sort of purpose.

I loved how you unwrapped those toys - very tactile indeed.

  13. Hey Bertie!

Glad to see you had a Happy Birthday with all those goodies!

Uhh, one thing, Bertie, you should get two presents (wrapped separately) on your second birthday. Then three on the third, and on it goes until you are 10, and then it stays at 10, however much longer you live. Thats an important rule perhaps Gail missed. No, the eats don't count.

    Cheers,
    Stella

  14. Very nice gift-opening skills! And wow, you live near the beach AND mountains! That's amazing. We live far away from both of these things and it drives my mom crazy!

That must have been some joke because you both look very happy!

    Your pal, Pip
