A cloud on the horizon...?

It might seem to you, looking at these photos taken last weekend over in Torridon, that I was having a simply splendid time with Gail and her friends.

Well that was true, up to a point, I suppose.

But there was one new development that I am really not at all happy about.

I can't tell you more just now, 'cos Gail is extra busy this week and she says she won't be able to help me with my typing for a few days. But take a close look at the pictures below, and perhaps you can guess what might be worrying me?
Posing in front of Slioch
Breakfast time, and some new admirers: Angela, Sebastian and Alexander

I agree with Gail. Monopoly IS boring.....

Supervising Florian, as he puts the finishing touches to Gail's new sea kayak

Florian takes the new kayak (which he built from scratch!) on its maiden voyage

Don't go too far out across Loch Torridon, Florian, it's getting dark!

One can lose patience posing, even with the nicest of families

Sometimes it's best just to hide in the undergrowth

Can you believe Gail threw me into Loch Maree at the end of this walk?

At least all is well when I'm with my new best friend Sebastian

To be continued.....

Looks like you're having a good time, but are you getting homesick?

  16. Hello Bertie,
We never can resist your Torridon pics!
How majestic you look in front of Slioch, you do just make the picture!
What great fun with the little humans - we hope they shared some of their human food.
A tip from us to make these boring board games (or should that be 'bored' games!)more fun is to run off with some of the little pieces.
You will find this liven things up no end................!
As for Gail throwing you into Loch Maree!!!
Does she know it is almost winter and the water is cold and wet!
If you need us to phone the RSPCA just give us the bark.
We are most impressed with the kayak although we cannot believe Gail intends to go in it!
We are relieved to see there is no space for you - trust us Bertie, stay on the dry land at all times!
We love that you are having nice snuggles with the little human.
We will try to tune in for Part 2 just in case Gail has some stupid human notion to build you a kayak of your own.............!!!

  17. Hey Bertie,
Monopoly may be boring for people like us, but it sure is Donald Trump's favourtie game :) Judging from the pictures you have little DT's in the household, lol!
That Gail of yours sure is a fitness freak...thank goodness you have the stamina to challenge her. Your new buddy Sebastian looks great...give him some snuggles from me.

  18. Sea kayak! Danger, Will Robinson! Make sure Gail wears her Mae West! Whatever would happen to you if she were lost at sea -- or lost at loch?! And there is sure no room in that kayak for you, Bertie m' boy. Is there a Loch Torridon monster? We prefer it when mama stays where we can keep an eye on her.

  19. Your Gail's sea kayak is beautiful! Wow! Our mom's kayak is store bought. Are you noticing that the kayak is built for just one person?? Yes, they go out on the water with other hoomans, but no room for pooches in those things. Phooey!

    BabyRD & Hootie

ps-Our mom likes Monopoly & Scrabble. Not boring for her.
