Gail's new job. NO!

Gail is threatening to go out to work for two days a week at the University.*

But she won't be able to, not without an ID card...

*That's the University of Aberdeen, not Robert Gordon/Donald Trump University, just to make it quite clear.

  1. Don't know if that'll work, Bertie. But it's worth a try! Maybe she'll see that it won't just be an ID card if she leaves you alone for two whole days.

  3. Thank you for clearing up any possible misunderstanding about your place of work. Will it be Aberdeens version of St.Andrews Gatty ?

  4. I wonder if that pass card is what humans call dog eared? :)
Good luck in your quest to keep her home!

  5. Quick thinking, Bertie! Very resourceful. Both my Moms work five days a week! Can you imagine? But my Daddy's home almost all the time, so I suppose I can't complain. Or at least I shouldn't. Or maybe I just don't have to if I don't want to, because I'd really rather they stayed here at home.

  6. Very resourceful, Bertie! Mom is laughing, thinking of the times she's taken half-chewed items to various places for fixing or replacement with the simple explanation: "My dog" (that was me, Jake)

  8. Perfect lessons in Intention, Focus, Persistence, Dexterity, Cuteness and Immediate Impact. Next we want to learn about Long Term Results and Sustainability. And if you need additional subjects to increase your sample, we bet we know where you can gather a bunch of them. Including in Colorado.

    Way to Go!

  9. Bertie, little trooper, you are going to need to let this one go. Humans need to go to work. Don't ask me why, they just do. I think it makes them just as sad as it makes us.

  10. Well Bertie, you will have to get an ID card too - you can be Gail's assistance dog!
It will help her cope with the stress of work and it means that everyone at the university will spoil you rotten!
    This is good news Bertie.

  12. You certanly were very focused on your task Bertie. We say if Gail goes to work you should go too. Perhaps you could work in the shredding department.

  13. Dear Bertie,

What a good effort to make your views clear to Gail. However if Gail gets a new card, then the best plan is not to destroy it (too much like the dog ate my homework excuse) but instead to clamp it firmly between your teeth and not let go of it so that Gail has to take you with her to gain entry into the university buildings by holding you in front of those scanning machine things at the doors. That way you get to be with her, which is probably the safest option as I'm not sure what you would get up to if you were left home alone!

    Riley

  17. That's my boy. Super smart. Gail needs to learn a lesson from all this wouldn't you bark Bertie? Her job is looking after you. Enough said. Though the square keps squeeeling "oh how cuuuuuueuuute is Bertie" Yes yes, growing into a fine figure of a foxy and your square shadow on the cobbles of Aberdeen? Picture book perfect!
