King of the Castle (an Autumn Fantasy)

Sunday afternoon. Finally, it stopped raining.

But the weather still looked 'uncertain'. (Round these parts, that's code for 'could start pee-ing down again any minute'). So we decided against an exposed hill walk and instead went exploring the woods and gardens surrounding Crathes Castle.

We almost had the place to ourselves. I felt quite at home.

The Castle and adjacent land belongs to the National Trust for Scotland. Apparently the NTS are short of a bob or two. I have an idea!  Gail could buy it from them. I feel I deserve a country estate. Don't you think this would do nicely?
PS: You still have until Friday to apply for the field trip - see last but one post. BBB.

  3. We'd love to live in a castle and have all those grounds to roam.

On the field trip, we may take Gail aside and suggest that she buy it for you!!! And then we can all visit on holiday!

  4. Oh wow!

That's so pawesome! A castle! Mom Princess should live there but it might not let her take all of us!

Will this be part of the fieldtrip? Or maybe we will just have to wait for a castle tour. What do you think?

I like the wooden walk way. Gail should start saving up, you could rent it out as a holiday home. That way you'd get some money back.

  15. Bertie my boy. You do look right royal and at home. Xceedingly clever of you to grow your own smart ermine coat too.

Of course Gail should buy your castle back. Perhaps she should pay a couple of visits to inside the castle, 2 entrances fees amounts to the price of a house so Ma Square says.

You'll be pleased to hear I've been practicing passing round my best flat hat for collecting all my tips... ready for our Rocky Road Trip.

Wiry love your royal relative Uncle Eric.
