Clachnaben: the promise and the reality

A typical late summer hill walk in Scotland...

Oh, and our friend Alison (in the red fleece) wants me to point out that that is not her normal hairstyle!

  1. Is that mist or drizzle ? Or both?
Best that you did it now before the bad weather arrives! Bertie - you look as though you are in your element.

  2. Gosh, Bertie - what a lucky lad you are to have this scenery and such interesting walks! You look like you thoroughly enjoyed it :)

  3. Bertie, that looks eerie. Fun though. The wind sounds like bombs or something. We would love to run around up there!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  4. Bertie that walk looks such fun. Good to see you were leading the way!

  7. It seems to us that if one lives in Scotland, one must have a dog! It looks like the perfect place to walk!! So beautiful. Thanks for sharing your walk with us Bertie!

  8. That is a beautiful place to walk, even if it was misty. Its all good training for the big one, I can see you get court out with butt shots to!! I like the one of you going up the rock steps, wish I could have been with you.

  11. What a hoooge hill! And those clever rock steps!! I bet you sleep well at night, dear Bertie after one of those romps!

Don't you chase the bunnies, mice or whatever? Do you really come when called? Wow. We'd still be runnin' up and down those rocks...

And I don't think you could be ANY more handsome!

Pee ess...you grew into your leggies!

  12. We thought all hill walkers had the same hairstyle!
Great walk in Scotland - loved the mist descending.
Being quick as we are being cut off a lot and getting very fed up with it!

  13. So tell us! Are you REALLY off leash the whole time???
My gosh how much fun would that be? (Moma is so jelly. We could really care less. But she keeps saying ... I'd LOVE that!)

You are amazing, Bertie. We're gonna learn a lot from you.

  14. Dear Mr. Bertie:

Thank you for the kind comments on our blog today. I have long prided myself on clarity and that you recognize that is a pleasure to me. I'm grateful.

Now, tell me what a Toodle Pip is and how do I get one of my own?

    Cheers and meows,
