Bertie misinterprets Zoom's 'chat' function

So I'm joining Gail for some on line training in plant monitoring for Plantlife volunteers this week. We're looking at indicator species in native pinewood and juniper scrub habitats.

I see Zoom has a 'chat' function, and I have something to say about cross-leaved heath and one-flowered wintergreen.

What do you mean Gail, that's not what the chat function's for?

OK, so I'm bored now. Wake me when it's time to go out and explore a real pinewood please.

PS Gail says: please be assured my 'mute' was switched on during this webinar!

  3. I hadn't heard of Plantlife before - looks a great project. My friend is head of the capercaillie breeding and habitat project in the Cairngorms - they live in the most stunning place

Bertie lad, I am sure that, had the mic been opawrayshunal, your input would have been listened to with interest. I know I was keen to hear your point of view! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. Bertie darlin' you listened with great concentration. I think you were very polite in expressing your views "cross-leaved heath and one-flowered wintergreen." Every buddy who is any buddy know 'Flower and Winter' don't belong in the same sentence. Surely he meant Spring!!

  7. I have never done zoom, but would like to try it. Sweet Bark Bertie.. i saw a video of a teacher who was doing lessons with her class from home. her boxer got up beside her on the sofa and kept pawing her wanting attention. it was cute but not as cute as YOU

  8. I am certain your input would have been appreciated. Have Gail show you where the mute button is?

  9. It's too bad the instructor couldn't hear you so he could answer your question, Bertie. BOL! Walter likes to pop into our mom's crafting Zoom sessions and say "hi" to the other ladies.

  10. Loved this! Bertie sounds just like Perky, my childhood WFT who was never afraid to voice her opinion.

  12. Hi friend, Ojo here! You look grumpy... Are you sure your person isn't misunderstanding your chat? Perhaps you are saying, "stop watching the computer, let's go out for a walk!"?

  13. Was there something annoying about that voice, Bertie? Timber has quite a bit to say when the Shriner Kids commercial comes on the TV here.

    Happy napping.
