A snowflake? Moi?


Forget about the Covid-19, it was a weather enforced lockdown here in Aberdeen this weekend.

So it seems Gail is knitting me a new winter jumper, with a Nordic theme. 
Mind those pointy needles please!

OK, let's have a closer look.

Hmmm. I hope no-one is going to start calling me a 'snowflake'...

    oh that looks fantabulous! we had that evil storm here too... we are ok with that, we can anyway only go out for an hour per day..

    Wow Bertie, can't wait to see you in that fabulous jumper - it will keep you really comfy cosy in the cold weather. You are a lucky boy to have Gail to make that for you, she is so good at knitting!
    It's lovely here again today and will be quite warm out, so we might be going for a walk by the sea later. I hope we stop for a coffee because I get all the biscuit that comes with it to myself!

    Bertie, it really has been a belter, hasn't it? Even this morning has been far from fun... although there seems to be a break in it just in the last ten minutes.

    That jumper looks fabulous and no way is anyone going think of you as any kind of snowflake - Nordic jumpers tend to make one look 'rufty-tufty' I think!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    I read through the comments and I wanted to tell you that since I've met you and easy and yam all in other countries I'm learning new words. Today I'm assuming that a sweater is also a jumper. I think you're going to make a beautiful snowflake but we won't call you that and this will be in addition to your beautiful furs! Red is my favorite color.       Gail says: I well remember my surprise on learning, when working in Oklahoma (1988-90), how in that part of the world a 'jumper' referred to a garment I would call a pinafore dress!
