Forget about the Covid-19, it was a weather enforced lockdown here in Aberdeen this weekend.
So it seems Gail is knitting me a new winter jumper, with a Nordic theme.
Mind those pointy needles please!
OK, let's have a closer look.
Hmmm. I hope no-one is going to start calling me a '
snowflake'...
oh that looks fantabulous! we had that evil storm here too... we are ok with that, we can anyway only go out for an hour per day..
ReplyDeleteWow Bertie, can't wait to see you in that fabulous jumper - it will keep you really comfy cosy in the cold weather. You are a lucky boy to have Gail to make that for you, she is so good at knitting!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely here again today and will be quite warm out, so we might be going for a walk by the sea later. I hope we stop for a coffee because I get all the biscuit that comes with it to myself!
Love,
Inca xx
I hope the biscuit is a big one!

ReplyDeleteBertie, it really has been a belter, hasn't it? Even this morning has been far from fun... although there seems to be a break in it just in the last ten minutes.
That jumper looks fabulous and no way is anyone going think of you as any kind of snowflake - Nordic jumpers tend to make one look 'rufty-tufty' I think!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh Aunty, thank you, that is a big relief. I like 'rufty-tufty'.
DeleteAnd guess what? It's sunny and calm here this morning.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
What a beautiful sweater! It is going to look stunning on you, Bertie!
ReplyDeleteI read through the comments and I wanted to tell you that since I've met you and easy and yam all in other countries I'm learning new words. Today I'm assuming that a sweater is also a jumper. I think you're going to make a beautiful snowflake but we won't call you that and this will be in addition to your beautiful furs! Red is my favorite color. Well actually black is my favorite color but after that red
ReplyDeleteGail says: I well remember my surprise on learning, when working in Oklahoma (1988-90), how in that part of the world a 'jumper' referred to a garment I would call a pinafore dress!
DeleteWhat a beautiful jumper Gail is making for you, Bertie. We would never call you a snowflake but we have some flying in the sky here today.
ReplyDeleteBertie I'd call you my hunk a hunk of handsome WFT in that RED and white sweater. I LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteGood golly those are a lot of needles. I know 0 about knitting but wow!!
Hugs Cecilia
It does look miserable and wet there, so you will need Gail to hurry up and finish your new sweater!
ReplyDeleteYour friend Rosie
What a pretty Christmas sweater!
ReplyDeleteBUT you will be the MOST handsome snowflake of all, Bertie!!! Mom is so envious of those who can knit - something she just can't seem to master.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You will be a standout in that! Looks cold on the streets. Snuggle up next to the fire.
ReplyDeleteWe have got that weather too. How is that possible?
ReplyDeleteWe think you are going to look very handsome when Gail finishes that colorful jumper!
ReplyDeleteOMD, that is FABulous!!!!! Oh Ma is so jealous of Gail's knittin' skills! It's gonna look FABulous on you my furiend!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
You will look pawsome in that sweater!
ReplyDeleteElegant, my man!
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie, you'll look so dapper in that beautiful new jumper. But then you always look handsome.
ReplyDeleteYou are no snowflake Bertie!
