Appreciating each autumn day

I'm afraid my human has been wearing a long face these past few days. I've had to remind her that autumn is our favourite season. Who doesn't love the glorious colours and the crunchy leaves?

In Duthie Park this week we've had (partly) sunny mornings...

And dull ones...

And rainy ones...

And all are in their own way beautiful at this time of year.

I think I've persuaded Gail to think like a dog and enjoy the moment. She says that all the kind words from our readers on Wednesday's post helped loads too. I even detected her smiling a little just then...

Happy Nature Friday friends. Thank you once again to the LLB Gang for hosting this, our favourite blog hop.

  3. How are you feeling?
Bertie, who couldn't help but live in the moment in such glorious scenery - what beautiful photos. We hope that their lovely colours cheered Gail up.
We don't get much Autumn here in this part of Spain - you have to go to the north for that - where they do have proper seasons and snow in winter.
My human says that Autumn was always her favourite season too, when she lived in the UK. When she was a little girl (so long ago I'm surprised she can remember!) she said she knew that Christmas, and her birthday, weren't far behind.
My birthday is later this month, so I suppose I should look forward to this time of year too.

    Love,
    Inca xx

  4. We are always happy when summer is over and we are headed towards winter. Fall is beautiful, but the rain in your part of the world is rather depressing. Mom didn't do well with that when she lived in Germany. Heads up and think like dogs!

  5. Bertie what a lovely time of year. I too love fall the best 2nd to Spring (I have allergies then). Oh yes indeedy Gail has channeled her inner K9. Thinking like a dog or any furry is the best medicine...as 'they' each day of the present is a GIFT to be unwrapped with abandonment and joy. Hugs and head scratches to you and Gail if she likes her head scratched.

  8. Bertie, your trips to the Duthie Park makes my memories come alive. As a little girl, I pulled the tulips up by the bulbs much to my Mums dismay. As a bride, I had my wedding pictures taken in the glass house.

Keep up your adventures and pee on any and every tree you see.

  13. I read about Bertie on another blog and thought I'd come by and leave my best of thoughts and POTP vibes. Gail, I know we don't follow one another's blogs regularly, but I know you well enough to know that you both are loved and treasured in the blogging community and we are ALL cheering you both on for strength, and many of the best fun, and carefree days ahead!! ❤️
