A surfeit of fresh air?

So here's me, earlier in the day, all bright and raring to go for another Torridon walk with Richard and Tess.

It's the time of year when the grass on the hills turns a golden rusty colour. It glows in the sunshine...

Although sunshine was in relatively short supply today...

Gail says that, especially in these times of limited social mixing, we are lucky to have hardy friends who are aren't put off walking by the occasional hail storm. To be honest, in my opinion, one can sometimes have one's fill of Nature, Fresh Air, and The Great Outdoors.

Happy Nature Friday friends. Do go and visit all the other posts in Rosy and the Gang's always enjoyable (whatever the weather) blog hop.

  2. Another rainbow - what good luck, Bertie! It looks like a beautiful walk, even if you didn't get much sunshine, and the clouds looked so threatening.
You look nice and comfy, curled up by the fire - the best place to be, in my opinion, when there's even a hint of rain!

    Love,

  3. I think I'll skip the hailstorms - I've heard em and I prefer being inside during em.

  6. We have walked in hail storms and it is painful. Rain is alright sometimes, but hail is no fun. It is very fall looking where you all are.

  11. Although most of the time we do love a good nature adventure, we are with you Bertie...In some weather it is nice to curl up and have a nice snooze instead of being out in it!

  12. Still beautiful even in the cold and wet. Love the rainbow. But curling up after an adventure is bliss.

  13. We don't mind walking in the rain (snow is better) but we don't think it can be much fun getting pelted with hail.

    What a beautiful rainbow!!!

    Have a relaxing weekend.

  14. Your land is so lovely. I love the autumn rusty color and the sight of rain. I cannot remember when I last saw rain (July, maybe?).

You look utterly content after your walking, Bertie. Wonderful.
