It is absolutely not my fault that Gail took for ever to finish the woolly jumper she started knitting back in the Spring...
In case you were wondering, I did not get in the way, I provided support.
Finally, courtesy of a very rainy weekend, the apparently never ending task was complete.
And thank goodness there was still time for a damp Sunday afternoon romp around Millstone Hill.
wow it is beautiful... and your Gail is much faster than our mama... the sweater she started for her dad's 40st birthday is still not finished... her dad turns 76 this year...

ReplyDeleteOh Bertie...even with THUMBS the humans are slower than molasses in July in the Southern USA! Thank goodness with your snoopervision Gail finished your jumper. I loved your photo at the end. Whew thank goodness you weren't wearing your jumper while you were jumping in the muddy with glee and jubliation

You did a great job helping your mom with her sweater, Bertie. It is quite lovely with all those little trees on it. You look like you had lots of muddy fun on your walk.
ReplyDeleteYou look like a huge help, Bertie! She never could've finished without you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finally getting the jumper completed. Without your support Bertie, it would still be in the 'to be finished' bag. You deserved a romp!
ReplyDeleteOh the sweater is just so lovely!!! Mom can crochet but has never mastered the art of knitting. We like to help hold her string of yarn when she is working, but for some reason she doesn't appreciate it. That puddle looks like lot of fun for facing through:)

ReplyDeleteThat is pretty sweater and your Gail is a very talented knitter, and with your support, a job fell done!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the kind words about Kiki, I read your previous entry and felt to weak to say anything encouraging. But our pups help us get through it, that's what makes them such a gift...now and forever.

Bertie, without your support Gail might never have finished her sweater. It really is beautiful and it's obvious that your encouragement made all the difference.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of you jumping through puddles! A lot of rain here but it dried up quickly, so no puddles to jump through.
Love,
Inca xx
