Sometimes one despairs...

On Saturday morning when Gail popped into Boots the Chemist in Union Square (a shopping centre where dogs are banned, mask-wearing compulsory, and security men supposedly guard the entrances) she saw this:

For once we are both speechless.

But I hope you'll agree that these sunflowers, an unusual sight in Aberdeen, make for an altogether happier picture.

  1. I guess there's people who don't think they've gotta follow the rules everywhere.

  4. Bertie, we agree, but some people just won't abide by the rules, no matter how serious things are, and then complain when they get worse.
We hope that the sun flowers cheered you up - you certainly make a very pretty picture.

    Love,

  7. No masks and dogs in the shopping center. So many rules broken. Your handsome picture among those sun flowers brings a smile to our faces though, Bertie.

  8. My goodness, that is so wrong, but it looks like they don't care. Stay safe, even when other folks are making it hard. The pretty sunflowers are a welcome sight though!

  10. The only word that comes to mind is stupid. We feel sorry for those dogs to belong to such ignorant peeps.

  12. People are getting more brazen about where they bring their dogs and shop owners are becoming less stringent.

  13. I can't even. I was recently in a store to buy a new computer and people were walking around with their masks under their chins, drinking drinks and no one said a thing. When I was done, it was pouring rain (the kind that comes sideways) and these people were huddled in a group at the door. I got absolutely soaked (just my back as the rain was behind me) but I did. It want to be stuck in the entry with them!
