Sometimes one despairs...

On Saturday morning when Gail popped into Boots the Chemist in Union Square (a shopping centre where dogs are banned, mask-wearing compulsory, and security men supposedly guard the entrances) she saw this:

For once we are both speechless.

But I hope you'll agree that these sunflowers, an unusual sight in Aberdeen, make for an altogether happier picture.

  1. I guess there's people who don't think they've gotta follow the rules everywhere.

  2. we have no words either... sometimes people are... well ... people...

  3. Hari OM
... nope, no words... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. Bertie, we agree, but some people just won't abide by the rules, no matter how serious things are, and then complain when they get worse.
We hope that the sun flowers cheered you up - you certainly make a very pretty picture.

    Inca xx

  5. There are always some that will make their own rules. Love the smiling sunflowers!

  6. OMDs Bertie it was like Gail entered another realm...maybe Mars. What in the world?
Proof positive the world is a wee bit topsy turvy and we are all living Ground Hog day over and over.
BUT OMDs what a gawgeous photo of you and the Sunflowers.
Hugs give you head a proper shake like a snowglobe things will settled down
    Hugs cecilia

  7. No masks and dogs in the shopping center. So many rules broken. Your handsome picture among those sun flowers brings a smile to our faces though, Bertie.

  8. My goodness, that is so wrong, but it looks like they don't care. Stay safe, even when other folks are making it hard. The pretty sunflowers are a welcome sight though!

  9. Sheesh...looks like it's not just our area that break the rules....

Aaaaah, the pictures of you enjoying the fresh air in front of the beautimous sunflowers is much more refreshing!

  10. The only word that comes to mind is stupid. We feel sorry for those dogs to belong to such ignorant peeps.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  11. Everyone thinks he's an exception.
    Flowers are much more enjoyable.

  12. People are getting more brazen about where they bring their dogs and shop owners are becoming less stringent.

  13. I can't even. I was recently in a store to buy a new computer and people were walking around with their masks under their chins, drinking drinks and no one said a thing. When I was done, it was pouring rain (the kind that comes sideways) and these people were huddled in a group at the door. I got absolutely soaked (just my back as the rain was behind me) but I did. It want to be stuck in the entry with them!
