You meet the most interesting types when out and about in Aberdeenshire. But Gail says it was wise of me to desist from telling the deerhounds that they need to buck up their ideas and get chasing after our out of control deer population. After all there we four of them and they were HUGE.
PS And talking of Aberdeenshire, would any of my friends still under the impression that humans are the clever species please click here.
oh yes they ARE huge!!!! guess what? one of that deerhound named Pasha is my deadly ennemy for ever and ever... if we go to a show I always have to look for him and then I bark and spit fire like crazy while he runs away... I mean while he sleeps and ignores me...
ReplyDeleteDey do look big enuf to chase off some deer. I've barked deer before as a puppy, dey chase off pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteBertie: you are looking very handsome among all those grey dogs and grey stones.

ReplyDeleteBOL, I was thinking along the same lines as Teka... those hounds merge with Aberdonian granite!!! As for the circle... well... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Mom has only seen a Deerhound once in her life and he was huge and very friendly.
ReplyDeleteThose sure are some big dogs. We bet you all would have lots of fun chasing deer.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an 'after-a-long-night-at-the-pub' idea unless he was practising stone lifting for the GAMES.
ReplyDeleteSHE used to have a deerhound X....lovely dogs.
Those look like some big doggies. Maybe you can give them a talk about getting those deers out of there. Thanks for sharing the photos. Have a great day.

Oh Bertie those are some might big Deerhounds....the head of the small dog hardly reaches the first joint of their legs. I have to wonder if the Deerhounds have ever seen a deer? LOL
ReplyDeleteI once encountered an Irish Wolfhound on a walk. Dang that was a big dog but very nice and he let me give him a pet too.. I checked the link another silly human trick no doubt.
Hugs Cecilia

Hazel went to puppy class with a deerhound and even when he grew to be huge they always loved to see each other. He would lay down so they could be face to face. It was so cute.

Dear Bertie,
ReplyDeleteDo not mess with the deerhounds. They are almost horses.
