A mini drama on the train near Dundee

As the train home pulled out of Dundee, the apparently short-sighted lady sitting across the aisle leaned over to Gail and asked:

"Didn't you have a dog with you?"

Gail's heart missed a beat, then started pounding so hard it activated seismographs in New Zealand.

(Gail says those readers who remember the 'Newcastle Escapade' will understand her panic…)

Then she remembered to look under the seat.

My what a fuss. And just when I'd found a nice quiet spot for a nap

  1. Hehe, you proved the old saying 'a quiet pup is one up to mischiefs' wrong there Bertie.
Butt, Mum does feel fur Gail, those are hearts stopping moment!!!!
    Loves and licky kisses
    Princess Leah xxx

  2. Bertie that are THAT moments and I'm glad this moment ended with a "pheew" of relief... Like I said in my post today... trouble&train start with the same letter for a reason...

  3. OH MY WORD I CAN ONLY IMAGINE GAIL'S FRIGHT..MOM'S HEART SKIPPED A BEAT WHEN SHE READ THAT QUESTION. HOLY MOLEY BERTIE bravo to you for being such a good guy on the train but MAYBE every so often you need to bark or move about the train.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  4. Hari OM
As one who lived through that Newcastle incident with you - my heart TOO skipped 87 beats just now!!! Am glad it was so quickly resolved... I had visions of Gail jumping up to pull the emergency stop... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Mommas get SO worked up when we find a nice quiet napping spot, don't they?

  6. glad you are ok its so cool you can take trains by you. we can go on the subway and path trains in our carrier but we can't go on the regular trains, to like conneticut and place in anything, its so silly Its also a reason mom and dad prefer small dogs since at least we can go on the path and subway trains a large dog can't go at all since it can't be in a carrier so unfair

  7. Bertie - Sleep. That's the best thing to do on Scot Rail or possibly when visiting Dundee.

  8. Bertie, we're beginning to think it wouldn't be a train journey without an incident...BOL!

  9. Oh, humans. They are SO reactive...

  10. Sheesh...sometimes we think Mamas just like drama!! Glad to see you found a nice quiet place for a nap!

  11. We probably could almost feel her panic way over here!

    Keep Calm & Bark On!

  12. Bertie perhaps you could snore loudly next time you travel? That way Gail will know you are safe under her seat.
