Puzzlement

I can never work out why I am always kept on a lead around sheep.

Can you?

Thank you for all your kind messages following last week's post. I'd better let you know that Gail took me to the vet on Thursday morning, although both my paw and my cough were feeling a bit better by then. Actually, 'cos I got all excited at the vet, I had a major bout of coughing  and I did notice the vet raised his eyebrows in quizzical fashion when Gail claimed the cough was "almost gone". Anyway, we came away with a 'precautionary' packet of antibiotics and I am almost back to my normal bouncing self.

  4. Howdy Bertie. Glad all went well at the vets. I, Stella, don't understand about the sheep business either. Once I played chasey with some sheep, they loved it baaing and running, running and baaing all the while mum calling my name with animation. Since then, not even allowed a sniff of any sheep I see. Sigh. So unfair at times isn't it mate. No worries and love, Stella and Rory (who would have liked to join in the game but couldn't fit through the fence hehe).

  7. We have never had even one sheep to play with! You are a lucky boy. And we are glad you are feeling a bit better. Too Bad Vets don't understand dogs. Why don't they understand that a rasher of bacon and a wee dram of (insert favorite tipple here) is going to make you feel better much faster than any old Aunti Bs in the world?

  10. Hi Bertie, have been reading your previous post and so sorry to hear you've been in the wars and had to visit the vet. Glad that you've been able to get over to the West. I recognise that gang of funny looking sheep in your photo, they can be mischievous at the best of times. Gail probably wants to keep you away from their bad influence.

    Best wishes

  12. Bertie! Today mom met an Australian cattle dog at the pet store who had just come from "herding sheep!!" Can you imagine? Somedogs got to actually go and learn how to do it FOR FUN!! We, too are familiar with the concept of mom calling us "with animation!"

  17. We are glad you are feeling better. Now about those sheep . . . just because you were rushing over to say hello that meant Gail put you on the string? Seems like that is a bad decision on her part and you should be free to spread joy!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

Pee Ess - We think Gail will like the place we are going with the little wheelie house. It is popular for its vortexes. We have never been there before so we will check it out for you. It is called Sedona, Arizona.

  18. OH Bertie mom really really wants to go out she keeps watching the weather to see if it slacks up. Mom thinks Casey's mom was trying to 'not take advantage' of Mom's offer. Casey has a doggie door to go into her fenced yard BUT mom really wants to walk her.
