Gail says that a week ago she was thinking of rechristening me 'Deflated Bertie'.
But now she knows that Toughness and Resilience are my middle names.
And anyway, how could I fail to get better again quickly when so many dear friends, old and new, were wishing me well?
Thank you all so very much.
Normal service will resume on Saturday when I'll be celebrating Angel Jazzi's Taco Day with a quite, er, unique concoction.
CRIKEY!!!!!!!! Bertie ....... mate ....... what's been happening to you? OMD!!!! Poor you. What an ordeal you've been through. AND I thought I had it tough. Fair dinkum ..... I've been living in the lap of luxury compared to you. Are you ok, mate??? Struth ..... that wound you got sure looks painful. Our Lucy got attacked by a good friend of hers once. What's with you Wire blokes that other dogs turn on you like that?? Lucy got attacked by the neck and she lost so much blood she had to have a transfusion. She was crook for months. Lucky the owner of the other dog paid her Vet bills. They were pretty steep. It's good to hear you are feeling a bit better. Crikey I hope you are back to your old self real soon. Poor Gail!! What a shock for her and for her friend too. Take it easy, mate and get better real soon, aye??

Terriers are tenacious
ReplyDeleteTerriers are tough
Bertie is a terrier
Therefore, Bertie is tough and tenacious
Yeah. Undistributed middle term.
Doesn't matter. GO Bertie
Gus and Teka
Way to go go Bertie - you will walking all the hills again in no time :)
ReplyDeleteWe are SO glad that you are BETTER now Bertie.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you are recovering so nicely. And as your oft reputed to be stubborn fellow wire-haired fox terrier, it comforted my soul to see it took four "Bertie, sits" to get an actual sit. That's about the right number for me too!!!! And I liked the "Good lad!" So much more elegant than "Good boy!"
ReplyDeleteWirey love,
Just Harry
