A disaster waiting to happen…?

Gosh I have been so looking forward to this weekend.

I am competing in the 'Fair City Dog Agility Show' in the grounds of Scone Palace near Perth, on both Saturday and Sunday!

But even more, I am looking forward to staying on Saturday night at the nearby Sky Lodge Hotel.

You know, we nearly didn't get in. When Gail phoned the hotel earlier in the week she was told they only had one basic single room left, as they were super busy, with "both a dog show and a wedding party".

What a treat it will be for all those all those smartly dressed wedding guests, to share their accommodation with a bunch of over-excited agility dogs.

Oh and the forecast is for heavy rain all weekend.

What could possibly go wrong?

  3. Crikey Bertie .... clever you! I hope you do well at the agility trial. Our Lucy (my big sister who's in heaven now) did agility and flyball. It sure looks like fun. I might have a go one day. Our lucy looked just like you only she was a sheila. Mum says Gail must be very clever to have you trained for agility. Mum said Lucy was REALLY hard to train and she's trained lots of dogs. She said something about wires having a mind and will of their own ..... whatever that means.

  7. That sounds like 100 points on the entertainment scale. But what's better than to hear some barks instead of wedding bells :o) Have fun and enjoy your event!

  12. Howdy Bertie. We think the bride will need to be agile to get out of the car and into the church if the weather is awful hehe. Have a great time and hope Gail is on her best behaviour for you. Good luck Bertie. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  16. Hope you had a nice time and had fun! I was there on Saturday! I was supposed to be staying at Sky Lodge but decided not to compete on the Sunday, had just cancelled the room that week! It used to be quiet when I started staying there now you need to book well in advance as loads of Agility people stay there now! The weather behaved itself which was great!
