The vet looked with distaste at the bag of runny poo...

...and politely suggested to Gail that no, he really didn't need to examine it just now.

Oh yes, I have been told to warn you not to read this over breakfast. But I think you'll have worked that out for yourselves by now.

You know, I've been feeling just hunky dory, but for some reason my, er, 'rear end emissions' have taken on a life of their own this last week.

Cue a visit down the road to the vet's on Monday.

Aren't they supposed to like sticking their hands up cow's backsides and all?

Not this one.

He gave Gail a tube of 'stopper upper' to put on my food, and said that's £50 thank you, he'll be fine.

For some reason Gail seems nervous about the train ride down to Nottingham later today.

I, of course, am looking forward to seeing Human Granny and Grandad.

  1. Ah, the expensive stopper upper ! Where would we be without it ? Could it have been the haggis burger ? Poor Bertie.

  6. We have paws crossed that all has gone well thus far.

Muzzer was wondering whether they make bags for doggies like the ones that horses wear in parades? Seems quite taken with the idea.

    Best of luck!

  8. Oh dear, poor Bertie. Tell Gail to cook you up a supper of butternut squash. Unfortunately we haveuch experience with such emissions. This always does the trick and doesn't cost £50. That's eye watering!

  9. OMD your Poop Shooter went wild? When that happened to Ernie a while back HE got CHICKEN and RICE.

We hope that you have a superb time with your GM and GP. We know how much GP loves you.

  15. Dear Bertie,

Must be the time of the month for Vets visits I had to go on Saturday. I had some bleeding from a tooth. And the vet gave me some painkillers. They are tiny tiny but taste really really awful. My poor mum has had a lot of trouble getting me to have them. I am felling better now. Hope you have a good trip to Nottingham. Lady Vicki

OMD now I have another one to worry about, what with Lady Vicki and all... You didn't go foraging for something unsavoury on one of those rambles did you young man??? I hope you are better at taking meds than 'er ladyship. Poor Aitch has had a dreadful time with her.

You make sure you give Gail all the right signals if you are going to have trubs on the trip - I suggest she pack a large-format newspaper and plenty plastic bags to put down on the toilet floor. Just "if in case"...

But I am sure the bowel-cementer will sort you for the time being. Happy travels! Hugs, YAM-aunty xxx

  17. Hola! Know we've been MIA for a while. The laptop has died and mama is dithering about trying to resuscitate it or give it a decent burial and move on. We also hope your tummy is better and didn't give you [and Gail] a hard time during your train ride. And we also suspect you grabbed an unsanctioned snack on one of your walkies. Hope you remember what it was so you can avoid it in future.

  18. At least Gail isn't making you wear dog nappies (a.k.a. diapers) on the train!

Have a nice visit with Human Granny and Grandad.

  19. Now I know a truly brave woman, one who would take a dog with dye-a-rea on a train to visit her parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you for an uneventful trip.

  23. Hi Bertie,

Yuckies! Sorry about your poo problem, and I do hope the train ride was poo-free. Hopefully you just have a bug in your tummy and you will be better in no time.

Have a lovely visit with your human Granny and Grandad! I am sure eating some of your Granny's food will heal you right up! Good food and love are very healing. Get well soon!

    Cheers,

    K

  24. Sorry your bums been bothering you, or rather bothering Gail! I hope the stopper up stuff worked, especially on the train ride. Enjoy your visit and tell us all about it when you get back!!

  25. So glad to have read that the stopper upper worked. And glad you didn't use a cork. It might have ejected during the mad dash.

Hope you are feeling better. Or, at least, your bottom parts are doing well.

    xx
