Well done the Scotsmen and Scottie lasses. Craig, Angus, Bonnie and Kenzie all spotted the clue hiding in the background of yesterday's photo. Yes, apparently Gail was in Singapore. This is a close up picture (from the internet) of the awesome 'ship on three skyscrapers' building.
Well I'm delighted to report that Gail came home a day earlier than planned. Clearly she was missing me SO MUCH. I was so pleased to see her I am even prepared to overlook the disappointing lack of gifts, again.
Oh. Apparently missing me is only part of the story. The other part relating to a phone call she received about HGD.
So we are both off to Nottingham again later today. I have been warned that Human Grandad will not be sitting in his usual chair as he has been moved to a new home, and that I must not bounce over Human Granny too much as she is very very tired.
Oh dear. Come on Gail, hurry up packing, we need to get down there fast.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear such news.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to HGD and to you and Gail, Bertie. Look after yourselves and safe travels.
If you're going by train....better not escape either.
ReplyDeleteWe know you'll lift HGD's and HGranny's spirits.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Maybe Gail will buy a present there.
We're going by car this time!
DeleteWow, Singapore! Very exciting!! Hope grandpop is feeling ok too. DOn't run off the train this time, ok?
ReplyDeleteHaving her home is all that matters. But some presents would have been nice. All the best to your HGD and HGranny too. It's a hard time for Gail Bertie so do your best in the "spirit lifting" department!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
Bertie: We will keep all of you in our prayers - Remember: be gentle, be sweet, and no "accidents."
ReplyDeleteIt would also be advisable not to stage another escape from the train.

ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I feel badly for your Mum that it became necessary to re-home your Dad. The quote "Old Age is Not for Sissies" is truer than true!

ReplyDeleteOh forget the tropical trip - how heart-wrenching for Gail to have to rush home for HGD and HGM, but wonderful that she could. Bertie lad, you be sure to give lots of doggy hugs and tail wags to spread that Love with the capital 'ell'.
Have a safe trip both and I do hope, Gail, that your mother is not too wrought over this; my practice for the five years prior to coming to Mumbai was in aged care and I know how very exhausting and emotional such times can be. I wish you all the best. YAM xx
Isn't that such a cool hotel? My Uncle Bob has stayed there many times. The pictures he shows us from way up top scare us! It's way too high for our liking.
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry to hear that HGD is being moved. We just know that you and Gail will take care of everything once you get there. Give gentle kisses to HGD and Granny for us. (And one to Gail too!)
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
Paws crossed...
ReplyDeleteoh OH Bertie we are so very much sorry to hear that HGD is not doing well. You will boost his spirits. AND be sure to be very much loving and careful with HGranny. And DO NOT try any of your escape stuffs this time.

ReplyDeleteDear Gail...we are glad you have returned home safely but we are so very sorry to learn of HGD's health concerns. We surely know how you feel and how HGM must be feeling sad and lonely and worried. We will keep you all in our prayers.

It's good to have your mum home! I hope the HGs are both doing okay.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a safe flight back and wishing you all the strength you need in the weeks ahead.
ReplyDeleteSending soft woofie kisses to you both. Be safe on your journey. Bertie, be sure to give Gail lots of comforting snuggles...not the time for grand adventures this time.
ReplyDeleteBonnie and Kenzie
Sending lots of licks your way. By rail? By car? By plane
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
I'm happy for you that Gail is home Bertie but I'm so sorry your HGD and HGM are not doing well...Make sure to be gentle and give lots of kisses
ReplyDeleteDear Bertie,
ReplyDeleteEnzo and I know how enormous a change HGD going to a new home will be for all your family (as our HGD went to a new home very suddenly last year) so from our on-going experience we know how important it is for you to be available for cuddles, love and just to be there for them all this weekend and in the future.
Hopefully your caring presence will also help Gail and HGY see in time (believe me it took my HGY, after over 50 years of marriage, a long time to realise it) that sometimes things happen, in ways other than how we spend so many years thinking they will, so that the best care can be provided for all involved.
Please know we are thinking of you, Gail, HGD and HYY and sending lots of love,
Riley and Enzo (and their mum).
Howdy Bertie, glad your Gail is home and we have you all in our hearts and send HGD and HGM gentle hugs and love. Have a safe trip, no running away ok? Take care mates. No worries, and LOVE, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteGee....coming home and NO gifts?? HOw does she look at herself in the mirror each morning??
ReplyDeleteI'd clearly get you a gift for my dear Bertie.

Oh Gail, I am sorry to hear about your dad. I hope things aren't too serious. What a worry though. I'm sending you lots of love and strength.

I am so glad that Gail is home. I am crossing paws for your Human GrandDad and GrandMom.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
What a stressful time Gail. Hope Bertie is providing lots of positive diversion and love.
ReplyDeleteBertie. OurMoma has been having us sniff out news about HGD. We found this and showed it to her ... we'll keep poking about. You might want to drop her a line ... just in case we miss something important. She cares. A lot.
