Sunday fun with Kirsty and Ella

Gail and I joined neighbour Kirsty and her recently adopted toy poodle Ella for a Sunday walk along the River Esk near Edzell.

Kirsty spotted a bird (it turned out to be a dipper)...

...and I spotted an opportunity...

...then Ella spotted that she might somehow be missing out.

    1. Can you believe Kirsty pushed me away before I had a chance to dig out her sandwich (which I may or may not have shared with Ella...)

Well, that was a close-run thing, then! I bet you got your own picnic in due course, Bertie lad. What a pretty wee thing Ella is - I hope you have a few more lovely walks together! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Bertie and Gail...Ella is a real cutie pie and what a lucky gal to have Kirsty as her staff.
Well done on the quick inspection of Kirsty's backpack. WTG teaching Ella the tricks of being a trail K9 too.
I clicked on the link you provide: What a lovely description: "Follow the river North Esk upstream as it squeezes through an impressive gorge and enjoy woodland paths and a minor road through pleasant countryside to complete the circuit from picturesque Edzel". I know we would enjoy that walk too.

  6. Bertie, please congratulate Gail on the clarity of her photos; I can see everyone just as though the camera were focused on each one, individually. Bertie, I never realized you were quite as tall as you are (or, in the alternative, Kristy is very short), and Ella does have cute ears, especially in the last photo!

    1. I am just shy of 17 inches high (at the shoulder), which is tall for a wire fox terrier.

  7. It made me feel good to see you out and about and playing with your friend and she's a real cutie just like you only a lot smaller. In the last photo of you and Alice she looks like a tiny lamb. Now I'm wondering what you almost snatched

  8. What doggie wouldn't take an opportunity to check for goodies in a big bag?

  9. Too bad Kirsty was too quick for you to snatch her sandwich. We hope she shared a little with you later.

  10. Darn! You were quick Bertie, but not quick enough to score a tasty treat! But it looks like you had a fun outing anyway!
