Time and tide...

Someone promised me a romp on Aberdeen City Beach earlier this week.

If only Someone had checked the tide timetable...

Happy Nature Friday friends!  I'll leave you with some words from a great American.

“Just like moons and suns,
With certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.”

Maya Angelou

  1. we have the opposite... we are always there when the ocean is gone... is that because we live on the other side of the channel?

  2. We're lucky her, by the side of the Med. It only slops up and down a bit, so we always have a beach. Sadly, dogs are not allowed on the sand at any time, so I can only sit and look at the ocean.

  4. My mom lived on the North Sea Coast in Germany for several years and the tide there was huge she said. It was also dangerous as it would surround a sandbar and then swallow it up. Sometimes people had to be rescued if they didn't pay attention. Still, it was a good place for you too walk, even at high tide.

  5. Oh dear me Bertie it is still a gorgeous view of your lovely coast. I would have probably had wet feet as I would never have thought about high tide. Sis of Madi speaks of it often but she is 2 miles from the Atlantic, as the crow fllies
    Happy Friday

  7. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! This happens to us sometimes too! Why is the Beach sometimes very big, and sometimes very small? I do not understand! It should always be big, for running and playing on! And there are more interesting smells and dead things when the Beach is big too!

I wish you a Big Beach day sometime soon!
