If only I were allowed in the Winter Gardens in Duthie Park...
...then I would not have to worry about getting my paws muddy and wet.
Happy Nature Friday!
PS After a frankly depressing week of near continuous rainfall (and yes, believe it or not, that is unusual here in NE Scotland, even in November) we are promised colder but brighter weather over the next few days. So Gail and I hope to bring you pictures of winter walkies under blue skies with sun sparkling on snow capped mountains for our next Nature Friday. Cross paws...
Yeah, ya might not wanna lift your leg too close to some of those!
ReplyDeletewhat? dogs are not allowed? why? we are speechless...
ReplyDeleteOh that's not fair Bertie, but you have had a lucky escape. We had some of those plants in our garden, here in Spain, and let me tell you they can be really vicious. The prickly Pear in the bottom photo was really nasty, so my hooman had them all dug up, so I can be safe when I go sniffing about. I'm usually just checking for any sign of the cats from next door!
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie the Duthie winter gardens are gorgeous. I love Cacti. We are expecting rain to move in tonight. The way they talk about Sunday we might need an Ark.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend
Hugs Cecilia
Sounds like dreadful weather. Our weekend is supposed to be rather ugly. Hope you get some dry time to get out and walk.
ReplyDeleteThe gardens are just beautiful! Shame on them for not letting you inside, Bertie!

ReplyDeleteDuthie park has winter gardens??? I needs to pay me another visit...
Yesterday, granda Mac and Mac1 and myself did a big road trip over to the Hutch and found that we left the dark, cold grey behind us in the East and rode into a West that was SPARKLING. Pawsitively sharp and shining, I tells ya!!! We couldn't believe it. We had lunch at the Hutch and Mac1 and I set up my tree and decs and gathered some things and then we drove back.
Today, though, it has indeed been bright and clear over the Auld Reekie toon - but only 2'C at midday 8~0
Might be time to wear one of your handsome jackets. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Yeah...your feet would be dry, but it's much too manicured, and sharp for a good romp. That's more of a people walk. Paws crossed for a great, cold but dryish walk during the week!
ReplyDeleteThe Winter Gardens looks like it would be a nice place to visit. Too bad they don't let pups in there.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some drier weather soon.
ReplyDeleteWe too had wet paws all day today since our "snow" came in as pouring rain:( Needless to say, we didn't get to spend much time outside. And Bertie, you are so right, we would not like to come THAT close to one of those pricklies.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I would love to go there. Thankfully I don't lift my leg to pee. That would be sharp.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that funny that our mom went to our botanical garden in Baltimore also on that day and saw all the cactus there too! Crazy!
