You're going WHERE?


Gail, did I hear this right?

You are going away for a 'mini-break' with our neighbour Yvonne, and your destination is St. Petersburg?

That's St. Petersburg, Russia, formerly Leningrad, right?

You are going to Russia and you are not taking me with you?

But I am Yvonne's favourite dog. She said so just the other day!

And who will check the pee-mail for you in your St. Petersburg hotel bedroom....?

What do you mean "Let's not go there Bertie".

It seems that you are most definitely going there and I am not.

Oh well. I guess a Boys' Weekend here with Yvonne's husband Neil is not such a bad alternative.

In fact, I think Neil is my favourite human.

    Well Bertie, I think you'll have much more fun with Neil, than you will trailing round all those old buildings with Gail and Yvonne. My peeps have been there, and say it isn't really a doggy holiday place.

    Poor Bertie! Not sure you would like the plane ride, in the hold! Besides, a weekend hanging out with the lads has its advantages too. Cooked breakfast might be on the menu. There might even be pizza for dinner. Plenty of scope for fun. Have a brilliant time, Gail!

    Oh that is super great!!!! my granny would love to travel back to her favourite city :o) But to spend some time with Neil sounds like a good plan too... imagine what fabulous things you can do together ;o)

      Gail says Re St Petersburg explosion: A close shave. We were in Nevsky Prospect Metro at the time of the explosion but managed to get to the airport by bus and are now in transit in Frankfurt. Looking forward to seeing Bertie...
