Advice for panicky people

We get a lot of boring financial stuff on the radio and TV these days don't we?

I expect, like me, you've heard about some new problem, could be a country defaulting on debt payment, or a volcano erupting, or a billionaire banker sneezing in his coffee, causing 'panic in the markets' and plummeting share prices.

Some readers of my 5th July post have suggested that my Houdini-style Great Train Escape stunt in Newcastle railway station might have caused Gail to panic, and even have nightmares. And then there was the Green Dog episode five days later.....

I am happy to report that my owner is not in general a panicky person (although she does have her moments, and now she's insisting I'm to wear Hamish's old harness next time we travel by rail).

So anyway, I have two recommendations for panic-prone humans.

1. Don't get a job in the stock markets.
2. Don't own a wire-haired fox terrier.

  1. Good morning Bertie!
What a good job it is you're working to make the world a better place, I think everyone should listen to your advice! Oh, and Hamish's harness really suits you, plus you look a bit like me now!

  2. Noooooooo! What would the world be like with out we wire fox terriers???

    Too sad.

    Too boring.

    Too lonesome.

Better too overcome the panic than to envision a world sans WFTs

  3. Funny, yep, a bit of human panic is never great but seems to be part of the make up....Twinkle has to wear a harness and collar attached just in case she panics and flips and then the humans panic and flip, mutual panic, worse than single human panic

  4. Bertie, you just keep Gail's world from being boring! She would NEVER tell anyone not to get a WFT. We think she's just teasing.

  12. Looks like she has a HANDLE on the WFT management issue....in as much as a WFT can be managed. Nice color for you, btw.
We feel in these situations it's best to go along nicely as though we agree....else we end up at Pup Camp.

bbrrawwwhhahhahaha - Oh Bertie, as IF....no WFT indeed. I think I just woke up the neighbours by barking out loud at that one. That is just Gail's way of saying I Love You.

So is the Hug Harness. That's what I called it for Jade and she loved it - way more than the collar. Couldn't wait to get into it. Really. I think you too will find a new kind of comfort and feel as if being hugged at all times by your patient and now much more calm 'attendant'!! Am sure all your furriends out here in the blogosphere await progress reports. &*> Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  19. Teehee - our Lady says to add, don't own a LeeLee - she causes all the panic in Lady's life - and Lady works with people with autism!

  20. Well, I will remember that. I had thought of doing a little investing, but now I think not. As for the WFT. Well, I'm sure Momma and Master think they would like to have a spring loaded chap like you around, but I suspect their aged hearts could not take the excitement.

    Kisses,
    Dexter
