Gail looked out of the window last Sunday morning and sighed. "Oh what a shame it's such a grey, gloomy day Bertie".
Silly, silly Gail. She was forgetting that there is no such thing as a gloomy day on Planet Bertie.
Not when it's only a short walk to the River Dee,
Where you can meet and greet new friends,
Go for a paddle,
Meet more pals,
Explore the lush green river banks,
Maybe pause a while to enjoy the moment,
Then off again for romp through the woods.
It doesn't have to be sunny to enjoy a walk by the North Sea either.
Oh yes, my friends, there is no such thing as a grey day with Bouncing Bertie.
When I'm around you will always feel in the pink!
Bertie, you are a wonderful, bright ending to a sort of lousy day!
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
SHE can deal with grey, gloomy days....just not rain. Has to do with water all over her lenses. We don't really like water on our backs...undercarriage is fine!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Bertie it is grey and miserable here too but off to hunt squirrels. Have a terrific Thursday.

ReplyDeleteBertie my boy, sunshine and North Sea are not two things one ought to use in a single sentence - at least not in relation to each other. I grew up knowing North Sea, by definition, meant 'grey'!!
Is that an avenue of beech trees under which you paused? VERY beautiful indeed. Thank you for taking us on yet another round of exercise in which no calories were expended by us!! &*>
Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xx
Howdy Bertie, you're right mate. You makes us feel bright and cheery and we've got crxp weather at the moment. Toodle Pip, hehe.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, and love, Stella and Rory
aw! I hope your Gail got to see a little pink too on Sunday then!
ReplyDeleteQuite right Bertie. Gail and us other human types can't really be trusted to make correct decisions based upon weather. You're a wise terrier.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Bertie you can come to our house here in NY bcuz it's been raining for days on end and we're getting tired of it and we could really use some cheering up.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
Being in YOUR company should have Gail... feeling IN THE PINK no matter the weather.
ReplyDeleteYea Gail, how could it be a gloomy day doing stuffs with your bestest pal, walking and enjoying the country, cause Bertie is like a little ray of sun!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Bertie, you are sooooo right!
ReplyDelete:)
Gloomy is a state of mind, not the weather! You can always enjoy yourself. (Unless it's thundering and skeery out. Then you should enjoy yourself by snuggling your momma under a blankie.)
ReplyDeleteBertie - You are made for Scotland and Scotland is made for you.
ReplyDeleteThat's the proper attitude, Bertie.
ReplyDeleteThats right!! Who would let a little gloom get in the way of a great walk??
ReplyDeletewags

Bertie what a great post. Certainly no need to fret over grey skies when Your world is emerald green with splashes of technicolor.....
ReplyDeletewe love how your pictures went from grey to full of color and friends!
Of course as always your tail was the star.
Hugs Madi your BFFF
Bertie, YOU are my sunshine!
ReplyDeleteBTW, the Weimaraner in those photos looks like my fur-brother Truffle. He's more of a Plott Hound, but Weimaraners are his closest relatives east of the Atlantic Pond :)
It's a great day for an outing when its gloomy out!
ReplyDeleteStop on by for a visit

Maybe everyone should live on Planet Bertie then! Good to see you're enjoying the sometimes grey weather and making the most of it. Eve has been a bit too busy for the blog recently, so we've had to give it a rest. I've been enjoying the weather too, though!
ReplyDeleteHave a super week,
Pippa :)
