No such thing as a gloomy day...

Gail looked out of the window last Sunday morning and sighed. "Oh what a shame it's such a grey, gloomy day Bertie".

Silly, silly Gail. She was forgetting that there is no such thing as a gloomy day on Planet Bertie.

Not when it's only a short walk to the River Dee,

Where you can meet and greet new friends,

Go for a paddle,

Meet more pals,

Explore the lush green river banks,

Maybe pause a while to enjoy the moment,

Then off again for romp through the woods.

It doesn't have to be sunny to enjoy a walk by the North Sea either.

Oh yes, my friends, there is no such thing as a grey day with Bouncing Bertie.

When I'm around you will always feel in the pink!

  2. SHE can deal with grey, gloomy days....just not rain. Has to do with water all over her lenses. We don't really like water on our backs...undercarriage is fine!

Bertie my boy, sunshine and North Sea are not two things one ought to use in a single sentence - at least not in relation to each other. I grew up knowing North Sea, by definition, meant 'grey'!!

Is that an avenue of beech trees under which you paused? VERY beautiful indeed. Thank you for taking us on yet another round of exercise in which no calories were expended by us!! &*>

    Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xx

  7. Quite right Bertie. Gail and us other human types can't really be trusted to make correct decisions based upon weather. You're a wise terrier.

  8. Maybe Bertie you can come to our house here in NY bcuz it's been raining for days on end and we're getting tired of it and we could really use some cheering up.

  11. Gloomy is a state of mind, not the weather! You can always enjoy yourself. (Unless it's thundering and skeery out. Then you should enjoy yourself by snuggling your momma under a blankie.)

  16. Bertie, YOU are my sunshine!

BTW, the Weimaraner in those photos looks like my fur-brother Truffle. He's more of a Plott Hound, but Weimaraners are his closest relatives east of the Atlantic Pond :)

  18. Maybe everyone should live on Planet Bertie then! Good to see you're enjoying the sometimes grey weather and making the most of it. Eve has been a bit too busy for the blog recently, so we've had to give it a rest. I've been enjoying the weather too, though!
    Have a super week,
    Pippa :)
