At fifty seven point two degrees North ...

Yesterday afternoon, only half past three, and the river was turning pink...

Sunday, walking in the Deeside hills,  the path was all dusted with cold white powdery stuff and my paws were tingling...

And I couldn't tell where to tread...

Now which was the way to the equator?

  1. Bertie,

If you're not sure about snow and would like cool mornings and evenings and warm sunny days with clear skies, palm trees and bright flowers to wile away the winter --- tell Gail to send you on holiday here.

    Wirey woofs,

  12. Bertie - Catch up on your sleep now because in the summer it never gets dark.

  13. Oh Bertie, this is your first winter and we are delighted to see that you are already experiencing the beauty.
No need to head to the equator - you will love your walks on brisk winter days.
You will love seeing the world turn white!
Just wait until you see the wintery cobwebs in the trees - you just wont believe how intricate they are!
You can look forward to cosy nights in front of the fire - tea and toasted crumpets!
When you are a little older we are sure Gail will show you where Hamish stashed his 'wee dram'.
    Stay cosy
    love

  14. Hi Bertie

It certainly is turning quite chilly. Did you have all those nasty high winds? We were nearly blown out of our own garden yesterday.

    Keep warm and stay safe.

  16. Yeah sort of depressing eh Bertie it being dark and dreary. Least you have the white clean stuff not the cats and dogs. And why are the squares not taking me for my walkies at the right time and my breakfast and dinner being dished up so late? Does Gail do the same? Huh? A half way meeting time would be nice wouldn't it.

Wiry love and kisses your proud Uncle Eric xxx

Ahh lookie at you all upgrown and square : )

  17. Guess you're learning one of those "life balances out" lessons, sweetie. The price of endless days of light in summer is endless days of dark in winter. We would expect such an advanced academic as yourself to know that, but sometimes the academic world insulates from the real world, sometimes it expands upon it. We're not as far north as you, so our days and nights are not as unequal as yours, but we are also remarking upon the change.
