A late life romance blossoms?

Gosh, it's never too late for a new experience is it?

Maybe it's a little embarrassing to admit this, but until this weekend I'd never spent the night sharing a sofa with a girl dog.

So what if neither of us are spring chickens?

It was just lovely.

I'm hoping Ella didn't notice that I was wearing my special 'male dog belly band'....

Which incidentally is very masculine and is absolutely not, in no way, a nappy/diaper!

PS Gail is home now from her godson Ben's wedding, and I'm delighted to report that during the apparently sumptuous wedding feast, and despite all the champagne being drunk, she remembered to slip a lamb bone into her handbag and later bring it back to Aberdeen for me!

  6. "Pants." in our humble opinion, make a fellow look more debonair (if such a thing is possible in your case, Bertie). All those people! If only Gail had been able to collect lamb bones from them all! Although I agree with Coppa's girl, a lamb bone from England is special.

My, Bertie lad, you and Ella do look well-matched, I must say...

I feel for Gail though, having to be squashed into a mass of peeps like that after all this time of avoidance... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Gail says: Even pre-pandemic, I would have found the whole event ( 100+ guests) more than a little overwhelming!

  12. Dear Bertie,
Weddings remind us of those we love most which explains why, surrounded by so many people when love (and hopefully nothing else!) is in the air, Gail was thinking of you so got you a lamb bone. Did you share your lamb bone with your new girlfriend, or are you not up to that stage of your relationship yet?

  14. Be careful, some bitches seduce older dogs to get to their kibble.
