I went for a walk yesterday with my Westie friend Rosie.
I fear this young lady pup might be getting a bit above herself. All she could talk about was her brand new Tesla.
I admit I was impressed by the special air conditioning system to keep dogs at a comfy temperature when left in the car. Even in Scotland, I can see that would occasionally be useful.
But when Rosie's owner showed Gail the 'caraoke' function and threatened to sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody, I decided that perhaps our little Ford Fiesta was a perfectly satisfactory vehicle after all...
PS I am being sent to 'camp' this week while Gail and her friends Yvonne and Kirsty are braving the notoriously windswept Orkney Islands on their bicycles, so this blog will now be quiet for a few days.
we rather drive suv it ould be a horror trip on road to hell if da nelly would sing caraoke ;O)) we wish you a super camp time and your gail a wonderful time with her friends...
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is my little Ford Fiesta is one of the bestest cars, I have ever owned. Cheap to run, with lots of pep.
ReplyDeleteGail says: Agreed!
DeleteOh wow Bertie, what a thoughtful car your friend Rosie's owner has. My human was most impressed with the special air-con system for doggies. It's something we could do with right now in our little Peugeot, 30ΒΊ in the sun at 8:30 a.m., when we went on our walk earlier. We'll have to be up and out with the early birds soon!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the caraoke - Bohemian Rhapsody is one of my human's very favourite songs and the thought of her singing along is just too much!
We hope you enjoy camp and that Gail and her friends have a super time in the Orkneys, and don't get blown off their bicycles!

ReplyDeleteOMD Bertid-lad - those Teslas have got sooo much to answer for!!!
You have a good time at camp and I wish Gail and Kirsty and Yvonne, happy sails and trails!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh Bertie I 100% agree. We pass by a long line of Tesla charging stations often. I purrsonally would hate to be out on the road with it fur fear of the unknown happening. Looks like Rosy if quite satisfied with her compartment.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bike Treks to Gail, Yvonne and Kirsty and May your Camp be full of naps and treats!!

Rosie has a Tesla! Rosie's mom isn't the wealthy lawyer who also bought her son a Tesla is she? (no, that wouldn't be her, she was driving a Mercedes, as I recall). The old phrase "More money than brains" comes to mind....A caraoke function? Whatever happened to singing along with the radio/CD??? Happy trails, Gail and enjoy the hotel, Bertie!
ReplyDeleteGail says: You have a good memory but no this is another Tesla owner, Rosie's dad.
DeleteAnd I realized, after I commented, that—of course, Rosie's owner is a very nice fellow (who couldn't be, with a dog like Rosie?0 and your former colleague. Mea Culpa to mistake him for the Mercedes owner, with no sense.....
DeleteCars are death traps for pets here in FL even in the winter months. and leaving the AC on here is dangerous. One of our K=9 Police officers died in the police car, they leave the cars running with AC on. the car malfunctioned and quit running and the dog died. I cried when I saw it on TV. the battery could die also. oh no not caroke in a car.. i sing with the radio but only when alone. hope you enjoy camp and Gail her ride
ReplyDeleteWe certainly hope the caraoke function doesn't work if you are driving the car. That's all we need are drivers who are looking at the screen to see the lyrics while trying to drive. We do like the AC function though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it works but mom would never trust the ac feature. She's leave me at home to stay safe and cool. Have a great time at camp, Bertie!
ReplyDeleteOOh, that sounds like a great feature for cars. We hope both you and Gail have an enjoyable time away. We will miss you.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Have a wonderful time at camp Bertie!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Sunny, Jakey and the Gang
We have a Ford Fiesta too. See you at the dealership
ReplyDeleteOh, that is one pawsome feature!!! I loves that!!! Not that Ma would trust me alone in the car...BOL!!!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to your Gail, and you don't do anythings I wouldn't do at camp....π€£ππ€£π
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We’re not allowed to go anywhere in hot weather, and if we have to stay in the car for a short time, the windows are always left open
ReplyDeleteWe guess it is cooler in Scotland, but seeing any dog in a closed up car would upset our mom!
