Spring in my step at least

I'm pleased to report that I went for a lovely walk in Glen Tanar yesterday, with Gail and her nice friend Alison.

As I'm being kind to Gail at the moment I shall not complain about the ridiculously premature Spring fur-cut she gave me earlier in the week. (You'll have spotted in the photo above that we have newly fallen snow on the not very high hills, and that Alison is sensibly wrapped up in woolly hat and over-trousers).

We only walked about four miles, even though I would happily have covered double that distance, I was feeling so bouncy.

  2. There are times when the Spring grooming should be put off. Glad you could bounce around and keep warm in that wonderful landscape.

So glad you feel there's a bit more bounce in you Bertie lad - always better to have some left over than to have depleted altogether! I must say you are looking very tidy, but I do think that having stolen all the furs, Gail might have thought your lovely Fairisle jumper might have been a good idea. Then again, running around is a good way to keep the blood flowing! Sending Love to you and Gail this fine day. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. For some reason, when we go somewhere that might be muddy, Gail is reluctant to let me wear my Fair Isle jumper!

  5. We bet it feels good to go for a good walk. We had some last week too when the weather was acceptable to the Momster. But today it is back to winter cold and they say we are going to get some snow. So far all we have seen is freezing rain and sleet:(

Happy Easter from all of us!!!

  12. What a great walk.

Sorry about the loss of your mum and granny. It is always hard to lose a parent.

  13. A bit late in adding this note: I am sad knowing that Human Granny has gone. It has been a privilege to know (from far away) such an elegant, bright and lovely lady. I’m captivated by her wedding day picture: she is absolutely radiant; something of that inner vivacity always shone through in her pictures. It’s easy to see the resemblance to Gail. My thoughts and sympathy are with your family. P.S. What a fine bouncing picture of Bertie today! Stephanie in Northern California (Google doesn't fully recognize me lately)

  14. First of all, I am so very sorry Human Granny is gone. Having just lost my dad in February I know the sadness as well as all the other emotions that come and go. Thinking of you and sending lots of support.

Bertie, looks like you have some green at least. I took a walk in the woods this weekend and all we found was lots of brown.
