Gail and I just want to say thank you to all our readers for your incredibly kind and supportive comments over the past few difficult days and weeks. We are now safely back in Aberdeen, the early mornings in the park, though frosty, are still our favourite time of day, my paws are in tip top condition, and I'm pleased to report that Gail is taking the advice of a wise relative, who told her the best possible tonic is a long walk with the dog followed by a nice glass of wine...
We're so sorry to hear about your human granny - big hugs and westie kisses to you and Gail.
ReplyDeletea long walk is a good treatment... we send lots of power and hugs to you ...and we are there in our thoughts to hold your hand&paw even when we are far away ...

ReplyDeleteDefinitely, Bertie lad... I could tell you about the endorphines released on such exercies, similar or better than is received from the intake of chocolate - and much longer lasting - but I'll just let yourself and Gail discover it really does help to 'process' and ease. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
That relative is very wise indeed. A good long walk, a single malt ( limited to 1) and some really dark chocolate of an evening. Thinking of you both and remembering your wonderful HG. One very special person.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, the walk, the wine or single malt and the chocolate are fine ideas. But, no chocolate for Bertie please.
ReplyDelete(We have tried this and it works, mostly.)
Those have always been Momma's favorite cures too. Plus some chocolate (for her) and big snuggles (for all of us).
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you are taking good advise on how to work through these things. It takes some time so Bertie you will have to assist Gail.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your walks and evening snuggles.

What a wonderful piece of advice for Gail, Mama totally agrees, and adds walks by the water or in the mountains are extra soothing.

That is indeed a 'wise relative'.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wise relative.... one step at a time with a bouncing WFT...with perfect paws to walk and lovingly touch your face as you need it.
ReplyDeleteRemember to take care of yourself.
Some days will be harder than others.
Hugs madi and mom
We have been thinking of you. Long walks and warm snuggles are good.

A very wise piece of advice. Make sure you get lots of long walks, Bertie, and tell Mom we are thinking of her.
