On or off piste at Muir of Dinnet?

A few days ago Gail and I went exploring the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve.

Sometimes I stayed on piste…

And sometimes I didn't.

Got a problem Gail?

What's that you're saying? The boardwalk is there for a purpose?

Really?

PS Thank you for all your encouraging comments ahead of Sunday's big Ambassadog event. Oh I can scarcely contain my excitement! A special trip to Edinbugh! An afternoon at a fancy hotel! We promise a full report early next week. Meanwhile, click here if you want read what our local Aberdeen newspaper had to say today about me making the shortlist. (And yes they did spell Gail's surname wrong).

  3. Ummmm... Bertie old boy. You do realize that being the ambassadog- for all of Scotland is going to be one long photo-op, right? Muddy paws aren't going to cut it my man. Keep that bit for later consideration.

Dad wants to know if Gail has considered renting you out to visiting academics who need a hiking companion?

    1. Gail would be prepared to negotiate mutually agreeable rates. Which Bertie thinks might be calculated in treats per mile.

  8. Bertie! I am thrilled to meet you. Found you via my google alert for wire foxies and the article about you being on the short list. Your blog is brilliant!!! I have shared it with all my wire friends on Facebook! Together with two wire loving pals we run facebook.com/lovefoxies -- take a peek. 10. Okay....it IS early in the morning (4:30) and we haven't been reading blogs for awhile, but we read that as 'Piste off at Muir of Dinnet'. We can understand being piste off at that LONG filming session! But congratulations at making the cut. Now, Gail can be 'voiced over' if you need a Scots accent BUT if you're attracting tourists, she may be an asset. Of course, you're the MAIN attraction. We're off to check out the competition and vote if we can.

    1. Gail says: In fact it's almost impressive quite how many minor inaccuracies they managed to cram into a short and, one might have thought straightforward, story. That's journalists for you (at least here in the UK) I guess!

  14. Bertie in working on our Ancestry Pedigree we found Lee's 11 great grandfather Thomas Kirk was born in Scotland in 1548. He was married at St Giles, Cripplegate, London. And buried at a famous church in England but Lee can't remember off the top of her head.
Oh Bertie you are on the short list how famously well you have done and a big trip ahead of you in a grand hotel. I can always say I knew you when!
    Thanks for being a friend

    1. Bertie I read the newspaper you beat out over two hundred other dogs WOW! And going to the Prestonfield I think I would order the Hand-dived scallops. That Cream of cep soup we never heard of but it say it is Fresh Button Mushrooms soup. I think the food would be great for winning. Go Bertie Go!
