Inconvenient? I'll tell you what's inconvenient!

So Gail is away to Nottingham for a few days, to visit Human Granny and also to meet up with some old friends for a short bicycle tour in the East Midlands region.

Naturally I assumed I would be invited, and was quite hurt when told that it would be "not practicable" and even "inconvenient" for me to join the trip this time.

No matter then that it is  highly "inconvenient" to me be banged up in kennels and with no access to a computer for nearly a week.

It is also "inconvenient" to be deprived of a warm comfy lap to rest on of an evening.

Not to speak of the "inconvenience" of not being able to spend time with Human Granny and give her loving hand licks and be fed Pontefract cakes.

Dear friends, normal blog service will resume next week. Until then, I'll be missing you all. So "inconvenient", as I'm sure you'll agree...

  1. Crikey Bertie ... How could she?? Hope you survive mate. Those kennel joints are mighty sparse compared to our homes, aye? Not to mention the tucker. Crikey .... I hope you're ok. No doubt you'll have some tales to tell when Gail returns.

  2. Wait just a minute. This would have been a good chance of showing what a great Ambassadog you would be! Right out in public so everyone could see you. How inconvenient that you aren't allowed to meet and greet your public!

OMD Bertie lad - that is just horrid... at the very least Gail might have asked if there were a temporary foster-lap available; there's a few of the Mac Clan here in Edinburgh who would have ensured lots of fussing AND computer access!!! Even a walkie or two. Still, absence makes the heart grow fonder and thus one expects that Gail will charge through that door and scoop you up into her arms on her return!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  16. Oh Bertie! We understand, truly. The most "inconvenient" thing about this is that you will miss out on seeing Human Granny, and she will miss you too also. There were times when we went to St. Loulis with our Muzzer and the Dad just BECAUSE our Aunt Marie missed us so much if we were left behind! We are a "mess" to travel with because we have "issues" with any number of things. (and we are sure you are most perfect!) There were even times when we went on the trip, but were left behind for some of the side trips the parents took. In that case, we went to a very nice dog hotel and our very nice cousin Miss Carole came over every couple of days and checked us out of the hotel (ok, it was just a boarding kennel!) and took us to see Aunt Marie. Maybe Gail could think about something similar next time? The Oldies all love on us lots, and they depend on us for non-judgemental love and affection. We miss our Aunt Marie muchly, and hope you can go to see HG soon.

    Teka and Gussie

ps...the Oldies love us square dogs more than they do the pointy nosed ones, just sayin' Gus
