Posing problems

Down at Duthie Park on Saturday morning, Gail wanted me to pose in front of the flagpole. I believe the idea was to demonstrate that we had almost clear skies and NO wind. It was also a wee bit frosty.

Now generally, when Gail whisks out the camera, I have learned it's best to sit down and look hopeful. Sometimes, treats are forthcoming.

But in winter there is a problem with this approach, as I'm sure you will understand.

Who likes to get a cold bottom? Not me for sure.

So I find the optimum strategy is to squat in a 'hovering' position. A bit like (I'm told) the more fastidious type of human female does when using a public 'convenience'.

However, this is not a comfortable stance to hold for more than a few seconds…

  6. Crikey Bertie ... Too funny mate! Mum remembers that hovering position from our Lucy. She was very fastidious about where she placed her pretty little bottie.

  7. LOL. Squatting is hard, but good for the muscles so I hear. I'm not much for posing in the winter either.

  9. OMCs BERTIE I HAD TO TAKE OVER THE KEYBOARD. MOM IS LOLING AND HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE CHAIR AND SHE CANNOT GET UP. OH THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS. BRAVO TO GAIL FOR THE SPOT ON ANGLE OF THE HOVER!! MOM SAYS SHe KNOWS HOW HARD IT IS TO HOLD THE 'HOVERING' FOR TOO LONG. My human grandma USED TO TELL mom NOT TO SIT ON THE cold BRICK HEARTH BECAUSE IT CAUSED hemorrhoids. NEXT TIME GAIL INSISTS YOU POSE ON THE FROZEN TUNDRA feel free to use this old wives tale to save your tush!
    Hugs madi your bfff

  19. Well ones bottom could become frozen to the ground in the time it takes to get the perfect pose. Like when ones bottom falls through the seat of said public 'convenience' and one cannot free oneself. Yep the flag on the flagpole is not moving so we get the drift there is NO wind other than the wind Bertie is passing with his bum in the air.
    Thanks for being a friend
