Butchers shop versus 'the light'

I couldn't help but notice, last weekend over in Torridon, that Gail was taking rather a lot of photographs and most of them did not include me.

In response to my quizzical (and slightly offended) look, she said this:

"Oh but Bertie isn't it all so magical? The snow on the mountain tops and rich late autumn colours aglow in our ever changing gentle northern light."

All well and good, I thought, but what about material for my blog?

And then I reminded her of the fine photo she had taken en route to Torridon, and that magical places come in many different guises…

  2. Lovely photos (especially the 4th one) but I think Gail missed the chance to show both light and the butcher's shop in one memorable image. She should have shown a picture of you running into the shop to sample the butcher's products at the speed of Torridon light!

  6. We dogs vote with you for the butcher shop. We think we could make the people happier if they built it in a mountain with snow! Lee and Phod

  7. Bertie,
Gail had a good reason for not taking pictures of you (no offence Bertie, you're still a handsome wee doggie) because Torridon looked amazing! Oh, I wish I could have been there, I'm sure you had great fun crunching through leaves on your walk! But hey, I can see magical really does come in all shapes and sizes. Did you make Gail stop the car so you could get a whiff at the door of the butcher?
