The First Class Traveller Look

Oh I do love meeting up with my wiry pal Horatio when we stop in Edinburgh to change trains.

We had over two hours to spare yesterday, so plenty of time for a good run around Arthur's Seat before heading home to Aberdeen.

There was Horatio, his brother Harris, their 'mum' Amanda, and of course  myself and Gail.

It was a warm afternoon, so what better way to end the walk than with a dip in a wee lake near the foot of the hill.

After all, it is important to freshen up before one gets on the train, isn't it?

Especially when one's human has gone to the expense of buying a first class ticket.

PS from Gail: It's amazing what you can do with a two litre bottle of water and some wet wipes...

  4. Bertie - Congratulations ! A green wet muzzle is something to be envied by all dogs everywhere. Even better that you got it before boarding a train .

  5. Oh my goodness Bertie! You've turned into a Wire-Haired-Green-Snouted-Water-Fox-Terrier! What a mouthful that is to say; at least Gail wiped it off and you can just stick to Wire Haired Fox Terrier.
Was it only you who came out with a green hooter?
    Pippa :)

    1. Somehow, Horatio, who actually swam whereas Bertie only paddled, emerged from the pond a lot less green!

  9. Bertie,

You made my mum smile with your green look - she recalled the "green - you know you are soaking in it" line from a very old TV commercial for Palmolive.

  15. Now you know what to do come next St Patrick's day Bertie. And tell Gail that she is in the wrong profession. If she can do that with a bottle of water and wipes she should be in the grooming trade!

First, I am most glad you identified who was which in that top photo, for I thought I was seeing double...

Second, until the time I had controlled myself after seeing green, I was seeing double!! OMD Bertie, you'll have Gail fretting about your next train trip if you keep all these shannigans. Was that Duddingston loch then, which enabled the recolouring? Mercy me, there's a clean up needed THERE never mind your muzzle.

I trust the rest of the week is relatively uneventful. For Gail's sake! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  28. Mom is mega panic prone so even though she loves wire fox terriers and used to think of owning one in retirement about 20 years from now it may not come to pass. You guys are so darling though. Now mom is into Sealyham terriers though supposedly a bit calmer but with the terrier spunk intact
