Gosh I was really quite shocked when I went to visit Human Granny a couple of days ago and found that she was still writing her Christmas cards.
Although Gail had bought her a wide selection of nice cards back in October, it seems that HGY had only completed five out of her list of forty some.
Well you will be pleased to know that once I, Bertie, took charge, and told HGY that Santa only brings Thornton's Special Vanilla Fudge to old ladies who have written and sent all their cards before Christmas Day, things speeded up considerably (OK, so Gail did help too. She really can be quite
Happy Christmas to all our lovely blogging friends, and may you have a Simply Splendid 2018.

ReplyDeleteBOL... I have to tell you, Bertie lad, that I had to take charge of the father's Christmas mail when I was visiting him, too - so I know just how Gail was feeling! But I can tell by the smile on HGY's face, that she was pleased with the help - and with Santa's visit!!! You be sure to have a wonderfurst time, too, dear boy. Please hug Gail just that bit stronger tomorrow and give HGY and extra big tail-wag!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Bertie, what fun you are having... and you got to see Father Christmas too !
ReplyDeleteHave a super Christmas with HGY and everyone. Will Steve be carrying you home from the pub again?

ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas to you and Gail and HGY! Glad you and to a lesser degree Gail were there to ensure HGY got her gift from Santa.
ReplyDeleteBertie - HGY isn't the only one still writing Christmas cards at the last minute. Perhaps it's the weather ?
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Bouncing Bertie & Gail. Your human grandma is adorable. Way to go helping with those cards! (We kind of gave up.)

Ah Bertie.the smile on HGY face says it all..... she really needed to see her Bertie to assist in organising her and obviously Santa's visit was made all the more fun and memorable due to your presence. What a wonderful lad you are and so generous to take Gail with you on these visits. I know you travelled by car but I could not help but wondering what a train trip would have been like at Christmas. Have a wonderful visit with HGY and Gails friends and be careful of the Christmas cocktails at the pub..
ReplyDeleteA train trip at Christmas involves very crowded trains full of stressed people carrying heavy bags and suitcases which pose a danger to small dogs. We've been there!
DeleteGood thing you got HGY in gear Bertie
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
