Winter coat? You vote!

When Gail returned from her holidays she accused me of looking "too shaggy for summer" and intimated that she'd have some free time this coming weekend for a "thorough fur stripping session".

Now I will concede that in some parts of the world, the concept of "too shaggy for summer" may actually be meaningful.

Let us see if I live in one of those areas.

Hmmm. Here is today's five day weather forecast for Aberdeen:

For those of you who like things in old money, this is the Fahrenheit version:

So now you have the relevant data, I am going to ask you to vote on the matter, as it seems to be the fashionable thing to do in this country right now.

Should my furs Remain or be taken Out?

You will find the poll at the top of the right hand sidebar.

Gail has promised to abide by your decision for at least as long as it takes an Scottish National Party supporter to say "second referendum".

  1. Gosh Bertie, definitely an "in" vote. It's mighty cold up where you live - you need extra fur to cope with that. If you lived where we do, (in very sunny Spain) we'd vote "out" straight away !
Petite-Chose and Inca your two Lab. fans.
P.S. Couldn't you just make do with a bath?

  2. I vote for a bath and a light trimming, just to freshen you up a bit. Removing some of the old hair will be quite enough looking a the temperatures...

  3. now personally living in a place that has been in the high 90's for the last few weeks = we think staying cool is important but in your neck of the world - we say no stripping until it reaches at least 68 degrees :)

  6. Look out, Bertie. The comments may say "in" but the votes are adding up for "out". Those temperatures are on the nippy side so I'm voting to remain.

  7. Hi, Bertie! Might it be easier to have a little stripped out now, rather than a lot later? I guess I'll join with the "out" voters.

  11. C'mon Bertie ...... it's winter here and our temperatures are nowhere near that cold. I'd freeze to death in those temperatures. You need all the furs you can get, mate!! Leave 'em on Gail or I'll have to report you to the authorities. Crikey ...... it doesn't even get that cold at night here!!

  14. Bertie we feel your furs could be trimmed. You do look cute as a teddy bear but would you not prefer the "exceedingly handsome" look?

PS My new tag came from Etsy.

Bertie lad, as a fellow win-summer trouper, the need for the extra layers is totally understood. Keep 'em in say I!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx [late to the vote due to foreseen circumstances...:-)]

  17. I say a little of both - a light trim, but keep some of your furs for a little extra.

  18. Bertie, if that is how long Gail will respect democracy, then it hardly seems worth voting. Although, if your furs get any longer you might pass for a sheltie!

Hope Gail had a lovely holiday.
