Where's Bertie?

Yesterday morning in the snowy park (around 7:40 am).
Someone forgot to put on my flashing light.
If you can't see me, try biggifying the picture.
I am there.
Really.

A sad footnote from Gail.
I expect some of you will remember the story about Hamish, the scones and the lace tablecloth. Readers in the UK will be aware that a helicopter crashed in Central London yesterday and the pilot, Peter Barnes, died. It was Peter Barnes' parents, lifelong close friends of Human Granny and Grandad, who gave them the Nottingham lace tablecloth as a wedding gift. So many memories. Such a tragedy.

  1. So sorry to read your footnote about Peter Barnes. The accident, including a photo of Peter, was just on our evening TV headline news in NZ as I was reading your blog.

    Bertie - we found you!

We, too, have been watching the coverage on television about the crash....so sad. We don't remember the scone incident as such...but we remember the re-enactment.

  14. Firstly, I am so sorry about the lives lost in the helicopter crash. :( These things always bring home the reality of the fragility of life.

Looking back over your posts, all I can say is "Brrrr...!" Your pictures are more like 150x shades of grey. (I am sure that the soul feels grey too)

Here in JHB, the sun is glowing through the windows at about 6am. Rise and shine! Time to put on sunblock. Temperatures, by 7.40, are starting to rise...and its already far too hot for a walk.

BTW, I loved seeing Gail's office. I hope that you got introduced to all of Gail's friends, Bertie...and perhaps annointed a few too...?

Lotsaluv from your friends in South Africa.

  19. You look like a shadow dog Bertie! We has not had much success with night vision stuff, it all just sinks in my fur.
