In the fog

With Human Grandad not strong enough to venture out far beyond the garden, Gail and I decided to take some photos on our Sunday morning walk in Nottingham, to show him what was happening in the neighbourhood.

What a shame it was all so foggy.

I am pleased to report that at the recreation ground the local would-be Robin Hoods were not deterred by the fact that their targets were scarcely visible.

Likewise the football players didn't seem to mind that you needed to be in the penalty area before you could see the goal.

With the heavy dew the furs on my legs were soon dripping wet as I raced along by the edge of the fields.

Although I saw no moles, there was circumstantial evidence aplenty down near the river.

I was a bit mystified by the fact that some of the trees on our street had lost nearly all their leaves...

And others, seemingly identical, had not.

In fact I wanted Gail to ask HGD about this, but she said not to trouble him, as his head these days is foggy like the weather.

So I decided instead to join him for an afternoon snooze.

  1. Ah...snoozing with HGD after an adventurous walk...bliss.

We're sure Robin had to contend with the fog when he had to shoot. Hardy souls around there.

  3. I suppose if they waited for the fog to clear there would only be two or three days for their archery and other fun activities. I hope HGD enjoyed your walkie photos.

  4. Oh gosh Bertie, how very foggy it is over there! But as we can see, you can't let the fog get you down.

That's so sweet of you to have a little nap with HGD. He enjoys your company!

    Hugs,

The archery + fog combination sounds freaky to me...thank goodness I'm low to the ground :)

  10. Hey Bertie!
Wow, what a fun adventure walk! Archers and ball players and Fall leaves. What's up with all of the ground diggers?!? They need bashed fur messing up the grass. BOL Love that tandem-napping pix.

  11. Howdy Bertie, how wonderful you took some photos for your Grandad. We are amazed at what the moles can do. Do the holes all connect or are they digging for grubs or such? Mum will have to Google them cause we don't know much about them. Give your Grandad a gentle hug and tell him it's from our mum. Oh and one for your Grandma too. See ya mate. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  12. Hiya Bertie,

Looks like you and Mum are having an OK time in the fog. Remember that Old Song, I Lost My Dog in the Fog, Captain Kangaroo used to sing it, so watch where you walk.

Please give our very best wishes to the Grandparents!

    Cheers and hugs,

    Stella, Jo and Zkhat

  16. Just a warning: It's not a good idea to stand in the fog during target practice! :)
    Thinking of you...
