|Happy to be out of jail and enjoying a nice long Easter Monday walk.|
I am gratified to be able to report that Gail had a very red face when she finally came to pick me up and take me home from
Now please look carefully at these photos of Gail's bicycle (the red one - to match her face) in France.

I am quite certain that, like me, you have been struck by just one thought.
Lightly laden is it not? (The bicycle, that is.)
Space on there for a 7.7 kg / 17 lb wire-haired fox terrier, surely?
Oh. I have just seen one more picture from the trip, depicting the unfortunate outcome of a bicycle on bicycle collision. Well. Perhaps I was better off in Scotland after all...
PS Thank you friends for all the valuable information you provided in your comments to my previous post. My not-to-be-missed lecture on gravity will take place some time next week.
PPS If you want to read an account of Gail's cycling trip, written by a 'proper writer' click here.
Well Bertie, we hope you're rationing your cuddles in order to get extra treats after being abandoned for a week, why not suggest a little pull along buggy that bikes have, you'd look great in one of those! Dex & Louis xReplyDelete
Oh Bertie I say work that SAD face! Yes make Mom feel as remorsefull as possible!ReplyDelete
I so agree with Dex and Louis you should be able to work it for at least a week!
Does Gail not know how inexpensive it is for one of those bike buggies? Surely there was more than enough room for you!
Work it Bertie just work it!!! BOL

YEA!!!!! You were Sprung. I am soooooo glad you are back.ReplyDelete
I am sure you are correct about the reason fur your mom's Face Coloring!!!
Well I would be sure a red-face is in order after locking you up like a common criminal!ReplyDelete
Yay! So furry happy to see you are back and free! And what a gorgeous spot for an Easter Monday walk! You look very pretty, so I guess prison treated you well (which does not excuse being locked away in there!).
I think you are correct in your assessment of your mom's red face, so make sure to milk the guilt as long as you can. :->
Definitely room on the bike, and you would have run a lot of the way. Glad you've been let out! Now, make sure Gail keeps feeling embarrassed. You need plenty of walks.ReplyDelete
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & bella

Did they feed you in prison or were you forced to catch and eat insects and mice?ReplyDelete
What was the matron like? They are usually cruel.
You survived it Bertie, thats the best thing! Next time, just arrange for a sleepover with one of your pals!
Cheers and hugs,
Bertie. Two words. Pet Passport.ReplyDelete
Glad to know you're finally out of prison! I hope the pees & doggies there were nice to you the whole time.ReplyDelete
Gail was in good company with talented drummer GEORGE!!! we need to know more about this chalk seam to ;)
Now from your comment theres some bone picking going on!! Bertie where has your sence of humor gone!!
What did that prison do to you!!
I know the St Georges flag has a bad press being associated with football, but it was St Georges Day when Eric put his post on!! and I thought that needed pointing out ;)
I'm sure it was water off a ducks back to him. lets face it I can't do that with my fur!!
I for one will be looking at the TV on Friday to see if I can spot Eric and his fancy fur:)
Have a good week
See yea George xxxx
Don't be too hard on her, Bertie, but make sure she knows that you are deeply hurt and deserve all kinds of treats and new toys...ReplyDelete

Now Bertie...You can't pawsibly stay up in Scotland when we terriers are all down here in London. Just pop down and we won't even mention the WED er um EVENT once...ReplyDelete
We can't wait to read that gravity post. Scruffy has been looking up Sir EYE SIC! Newton and is planning a book report on him....
Kisse to all and tell your mom some aloe should help...
Abby is, of course, not a member of the British Bar, but the UK used to have really strict quarantine laws. Even with the Chunnel and the 'pet passports' mentioned by Wilf, is it possible that if Gail had taken you to France, you would have been at risk of having to serve a LONG term in durance vile at a quarantine facility? So maybe Gail was actually looking out for your long term best interests?ReplyDelete
What you need to do, young Bertie, is cultivate a doting 'aunt' [like our Aunt Janet who lives next door] with whom you can crash on those occassions when Gail has to leave you. What's wanted is a cuddly person who will spoil you rotten so you won't feel 'abandoned' while Gail is gone. Start screening the friends & neighbors.
